I ate one. That was all it took to realize it was too spicy for me.
5 maple syrup sausages with 2 eggs. OJ.
Chicken sandwich: frozen precooked patty, Martin’s potato sandwich roll, Duke’s mayo, home pickled onions. Modelo Especial.
Apple cake. My wife made it from apples we picked in Maine two weeks ago.
Contemplating dinner right now.
Since I forgot to post last night, yesterday (Friday) was the day a tend to eat out:
Yesterday breakfast: Two eggs over easy, toast with butter and jam
Yesterday lunch: A gyro and a side of fries from a new Mediterranean restaurant.
Yesterday dinner: A charburger from Habit Burger, and roasted cauliflower, which is their seasonal side. I didn’t feel like more fries since I had those for lunch.
Today breakfast: Nothing. It’s Saturday. I slept in.
Today lunch: Tuna sandwich, and the remaining fries from yesterday’s lunch.
Today dinner: I have a Texas style chili on the stove as a type this. I’ll probably garnish it with cheese, sour cream, scallions, cilantro, and tortilla chips.
Yesterday:
B: Nothing
L: Beef and broccoli stir fry with a small spoonful of white rice, hot and sour soup (met a friend for lunch)
D: Cup of homemade Minestrone soup with Parmesan cheese stirred in
Today:
B: 2 egg scramble with mushrooms, chives, ham and cheddar, 1 apple
Snacks: 1 pk. veggie straws, spoon of peanut butter
D: 1/2 strip steak, whole grain rice medley, pile of spinach
Damn, I’m boring. ![]()
I’m glad that packet of rice medley is gone!
Breakfast: Oatmeal with a banana chopped up into it
Lunch: Burger King chicken nuggets
Supper: Chicken thighs with Thai curry sauce, acorn squash baked with butter and maple syrup, and a peppermint brownie
You can see what the key meal of the day was for me.
Breakfast: Two bananas and a glass of milk.
Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich and a glass of milk.
Supper: Hamburger with ketchup and mustard and a glass of milk.
Snacks: Vanilla Wafer Cookies and a glass of milk.
Breakfast: Omelet with asparagus and Parmesan cheese.
Lunch: Squash, chickpeas and quinoa with lots of herbs and spices. Topped with fresh tomatoes, mint and cilantro from the garden. Insane that we have tomatoes and herbs growing outdoors in November in New England.
Dinner: Dover sole poached in white wine served over white rice with a sauce made from the poaching liquid (onions, white wine, lemon juice, butter, brown sugar and paprika)
About 4000 M&Ms from the leftover Halloween candy bowl, handfuls of almonds and dates.
Brunch: I had some leftover black beans in the fridge, and some leftover chipotle chilis in adobo sauce from last night’s chili. So I made a sort of huevos rancheros – a tortilla with fried eggs topped with the black beans mixed some of the chilis and some of the adobo sauce.
Dinner: Cod in a garlic lemon butter with some pine nuts, roasted Brussels sprouts, and cous cous.
Breakfast: Leftover rib-eye steak, over-easy eggs, and hashbrowns.
Lunch: Nothing.
Dinner: Grilled ham & Swiss sandwich with sweet-hot pickle chips, and Baken-Ets with ranch dressing.
A leftover cold spinach-ricotta manicotti from Aldi I baked last night in spaghetti sauce. It was blah.
Breakfast: Nothing.
Lunch: Fried chicken breast.
Dinner: Slow-cooker ‘roast’ beef & a red potato cooked with it.
Apple cider donuts and black coffee. I’ve got chicken thighs and corn on the cob on the grill.
A glass of water with my morning pills after I’d been up for about an hour and half (started laundry & did some clean up before I came downstairs). About an hour after that I had a Noosa yogurt (raspberry) with 2/3 cup of coffee.
About an hour after that I had a small bag of Calbee baked shrimp chips with an Orangina chaser.
I’ll probably have a ham sandwich for dinner to use up the ham we got last Thursday. With a glass of water.
That’s wise. The basic unit of consumption is one bag. Best if it’s a small bag.
Breakfast: Sausage-and-cheese frittata with Sriracha sauce.
Breakfast: My usual heaping bowl of knock-off Rice Krispies with Stevia in 2% milk; cup of same to wash down the multitude of BP meds.
Interim: nibbling on iced oatmeal cookies.
Dinner: Pulled pork sandwiches with cheese slice and sweet BBQ sauce.
Interim 2: more iced oatmeal cookies.
Scrapple on whole wheat with dark Karo syrup.
Hummus on Wheat Thins.
Couple handfuls of peanuts.
Note to self: @Johnny_L.A is holding.
Yer killin’ me.
It was the first time in forever, though. ![]()
