Full disclosure, Czar was arguing *his own case *when he made that mod note. Which always seem a bit shady to me when I see mods do it, but who cares. Still a great mod note.

Playing the ‘coy innocent’ game is richly rewarded in our society, where most people aren’t really that bright and have an extreme aversion to negative emotions, which they are taught from birth are ‘wrong’. So they see one party being the wide eyed innocent and the other party being angry, and they side with the innocent party because anger is wrong (or so they believe and feel).

So Dio is just playing a game that he has very probably perfected in his real life, and has been richly rewarded for doing. Behavior that is rewarded is repeated. Hell, he probably takes great pride in being able to undermine others by playing the game to the point of making them lose their cool, at which point they are the ones that are discredited, not him. Most people who play these kinds of social games think themselves very clever in their ability to manipulate others and will often go out of their way to create new situations in which they can experience the “reward” of “winning” by unbalancing their opponents.

I assure you, this is sheer fantasy on your part (I’m the opposite of passive-aggressive IRL, I’m a hothead, and incapable of manipulation), though I do sometimes find it interesting to see the kinds of personalities that people project on me. I am not the devious genius that people think I am. I never think beyond the post I’m making at that second. I’m just opinionated, that’s all. I have no greater agenda.

No one has ever projected anything onto you. I have never seen this done even once. What greater agenda? Nobody ever said that.

I was about the only person over the last three pages NOT to refer to Dio as a jerkoff or a troll, and to actually try to address his arguments, and apparently that means that i’m about the only person he isn’t interested in responding to.

Just so your efforts weren’t entirely in vain I’ll let you know I enjoyed your post. Not as much as the Dio-impersonators, but enjoyed it nonetheless. That it was not responded to is because, along with those pointing out the possibility of speedometer inaccuracy, it blows the shit out of the “you can’t block the left lane going the speed limit” argument.
