Thats my assumption too. The guy who lies on average 9,000 times a year is probably lying about this too.
My understanding is weight loss can help with heart failure and kidney failure. Theres a lot of speculation Trump has both, and they are terminal. But the article also says the person in question failed to lose weight on tirzepatide, so hopefully Trump can’t lose weight on retatrutide either because his diet is terrible.
I mean, Trump does frequently tell a story about his “friend” who’s a very successful businessman, maybe the most successful ever, who takes “the fat drug” and it doesn’t work on him.
Anecdotally, my doctor started me on Ozempic at the beginning of last year and switched me to Mounjaro (tirzepatide) in January, and I’m down 50 pounds since then, but it aggravates my acid reflux and I can barely eat half of what I used to be able to before I feel full.
His health issues aren’t what I’d call hidden even right now. They haven’t been able to hide his swollen ankles, his difficultly walking in a straight line, his obvious confusion at state events, his frequently inability to find the words he’s looking for, whatever the hell is going on with his hands, and of course he’s been dozing off in the middle of meetings and basketball games. Unlike with JFK and his bad back, we’re all aware Trump has some serious health problems even if we don’t know exactly what they are.
FDR hid his disability from polio, too. I never knew this until I saw a film of him walking with crutches, and then it hit me: that’s right, he has had polio. I was shocked, really. FDR never gave off any sign he had to use crutches or a wheelchair. Then again, in that era, it was much easier to hide. People were not so open about talking about those issues, either.
IMO it’ll start coming out a few years after his death. It’ll be like de-Stalinization where insiders try to destroy the cult after he is dead by bringing out the truth of the cult leader now that he can’t take revenge on them anymore.
I wonder what happens when Ivanka writes her biography detailing all the child molestation he did to her.
I wonder what happens if Trump’s medical records leak and the Sascha Riley claims turn out to be true about why Trump is incontinent.
All of this. FDR and his staff worked hard on having him not shown to the public as struggling to walk; film footage typically showed him either standing in a place where he had something which he could lean on for support (like a lectern or a railing), or sitting. His disability was apparently well-known to the press, but there was a gentlemen’s agreement to not publish film or photos of him that depicted him as anything less than healthy.
It was, obviously, a very different time from today.
Good question. I imagine “taking Grandpa to the golf course, driving him around in a little cart for a while, and them telling him that he won” would probably be reported as “Trump went golfing.”
(Side note: I looked it up, and Trump actually does have grandchildren. I don’t know why this surprises me.)
Yes, but apparently not as often, and not recently.
This website tracks when Trump’s published schedule indicates that he was playing golf, and the last time he did so was June 13th, almost two weeks ago.
He’s played 3 times in June, after playing seven times in May, and three times in April. Last year, he was playing pretty much every Saturday and Sunday, and typically 7 to 9 times a month.
