This pretty much sums up the last ten years or so. I suppose we like beating our heads against the wall, trying to find some logical pattern within the chaotic maelstrom.
I apologize. Sometimes I lose track of whether I’m in P&E or the Pit in threads of this nature. I’ll be more careful from now on.

So, by the preponderance of the evidence, the most serious medical condition Trump has is pulmonary hypertension. Not good, but not a death sentence. And maybe it’s a borderline diagnosis they came up with to justify a breach of medical ethics.
I usually post against punishing people. But I do think that a doctor allowing Trump and Trump alone a drug otherwise only available in a random trial is wildly unethical. If legal, a law should be passed outlawing VIP medicine generally, and certainly VIP bypass of trials.
And his staff admitted to him having chronic venous insufficiency last year.
Judging by the way his tablemates scattered at the G7, he’s got, at minimum, a real public flatulence problem.

I don’t know about this particular version, but the other GLP1 meds often/usually make you feel quite sick in the beginning. That’d be a shame.
I heard this addressed today on NPR’s “Here and Now.” The White House is denying this, FWIW, and my own experience with compassionate use of not-yet-approved drugs is that it must be done with the full knowledge and cooperation of the patient, or their guardian.
