I think watching porno movies is a waste of time but thats just my opinion i might be wrong.

I don’t know about that, Crunchy. I imagine I’m as libidinous as the average male, and I find porn generally pretty boring (something I noticed the first time a group of us 14 year olds went to the Art Cinema - 5 minutes of Wow! then yawn). I guess I see no great thrill in somebody else having a good time.
To each his own, but I disagree with the generalization.
Gotta be the first one I ever saw, Country Girls in Heat Part 1. It has a halfway decent plot, and it was dubbed into english. Also, some of the best looking women around, and also has the most creative use of a billiard table and accessories that I’ve ever seen.
I was just kidding (see the smiley?) I know not all men are slobbering horndogs looking to masturbate at porn whenever the chance, um. . . arises, so to speak.
My favorite was Latex by Nin, about a guy who can read into a person’s sexual fantasies by touching the person.
Night Calls: Part II is amusing because it mocks the genre. It is cartoonishly surreal and I think some scenes include puppets.
I can think of 2- Irresistable and Hyapatia Lee’s Ribald Tales of Canterbury. The first is the story of a man in a stale marriage who get the ability to go back in time and fuck all the beautiful women of history. At the end he askes to be sent back to his wedding night, to be with his wife to rekindle the passion there. Would have been a good story even without the sex. The second is a retelling of the Canterbury Tales- but the tales the pilgrims tell are about sex, naturally. The scene of the monk getting head at the end is priceless!
There was a porn film made in the 70’s (damned if I can remember the name) which was based on The Portrait of Dorian Gray. A man had filmed himself haveing sex when he was young, and he aged on the film, but not in life. It actually had a decent story, but the most amazing thing about it was that Peter Scolari (**Bosom Buddies, Newhart **) had a bit part in it. I couldn’t believe it when I recognized him. Obviously, this is left off his “official” resume, but I would be indebted if anyone knows the name of this film.

I’m not sure about the film you remember, but Peter Scolari’s official resume at the IMDB does include a 1978 porn film called Take Off. The listing doesn’t say which “bit” he played, so it must have been a very small part. The plot doesn’t sound like the one you’re describing, and I can’t find a listing for a “Dorian Gray” type porn film. Perhaps you’re confusing two films?
I can’t believe I’m spending my morning researching porn on the net.
Its tricky to decide which porns fall into the “film” category and the “wall to wall sex” category. Since the Where The Boys Aren’t and No Mans Land series are two that are personal faves of mine I’d tend to agree with Una, but also probably disqualify them as being too heavy on the sex and too light on the plot for the purpose of this question.
I personally think anything by Michael Nin is worth sitting through without using the fast forward button. My favorite is The Dinner Party, but I admit the plot is also a little bit thin.
Of course these days with the internet and a cable modem I don’t bother much with VHS anymore.
PS. I am so going to buy my next SO a Sybian, and thats a diamond in any porn one may stumble across.

Of course, you haven’t seen sex in a movie until you’ve seen some hentai Japanese anime! For instance, there’s a film called “F3: Frantic, Frustrated, and Female”. It’s about a girl who just can’t seem to have an orgasm. She tries everything from vibrators to having her sister use a strap-on dildo, but nothing works until her sister hypnotizes her. After that, she can have orgasms, but only when her sister touches her. The film goes on to have such things as a mad scientist who hooks the girl up to a gigantic sex machine and ends with the both sisters and their mother deciding to have a lesbian menage a trois.
I also recommend “Rei Rei”, which is about a goddess who wanders the Earth trying to get young couples to have sex. In the first part, a boy is trying to date a girl, but she’d rather have sex with her female doctor. After this, you’ll never think of the word “Sensei” in the same way again. In the second part, a girl rejects a boy because he’s too shy to have sex with her. The goddess helps him out by, among other things, turning him into his girlfriend’s bathwater.
Trust me, folks. Americans may be perverts, but we’ve got NOTHING on the Japanese.
Rei Rei is good. The first half is hilarious! I didn’t think the second episode was as good though.
F3 is good for a laugh, but I still prefer Rei Rei.
Then there’s La Blue Girl. A young sourceress must defeat enemies from the netherworld with “sexcraft”. (Funny scene where she sprouts a 12-inch clitoris.) The story is actually pretty good, but I thought there was too much sex in it… Oh, right. It’s supposed to be a porn thread!
“Black Throat” - it was incredibly stupidly funny and low-rent, and I think it was intended that way. I’m positive there is a deep symbolism behind the fact that the main (male) character kept turning to a rubber rat for advice on his sex life.
IIRC, the producers were the Dark Brothers - “purveyors of fine filth”. Are these the same brothers Charlie Sheen’s and Emilio Estevez’ “Rated X” was about?
