What is your Favorite...... Smell?

Cedar, or that “pine tree” or “Christmas Tree” smell. I once had a sachet of cedar (I think it was) and I used to pull it out and just sniff it. I’d always have a strong “flashback” that took me back to the mountains every time.

I also special order these bath soaps from a little shop in Ferndale CA. The scent is called “Redwood Moss”. Mmmm…the same kind of smell.

I came into the thread thinking, * any smell * and some people took it that way, and others went with perfumes, so, for the perfume, I LOVE ‘Cinnabar’ by Estee Lauder.

As for just aromas: cinnamon, vanilla, pumpkin spice, baking bread, roses, and whatever those Christmas bags at JC Penneys have in them!

[hijack] Anti Pro I love your sig. [/hijack]

Mmmmmmm, chooooooocalaaaaaate.

Bergamot. The main ingredient in Twinings Earl Grey Tea.

  • Thanks, Spidy!! I’ve always admired your cool webs too! *

coconut…it reminds me of the beach

If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my underwear.

My favorite smells are vanilla, blueberry and freesia. I burn candles with those aromas in my home, and the combination smells heavenly to me. Wish I could find a perfume with that combination.

I wear Clinique Aromatics Elixir perfume, and people are always telling me how good I smell, so I guess it works well with my body chemistry. It is pretty strong, so I use very little.

On the topic of your mom’s perfume-about 6 months after my mom died, while I was still pretty actively torn up by her absence, one day this woman walked into my office. I had this wonderful feeling of peace and safety sort of waft over me. When she came by again, I realized that she was wearing “White Shoulders” perfume, which my mom always wore when I was a kidling. It is amazing to me how much smells take you back to wherever you were and whomever was wearing them when you first smelled them. I associate both good and bad things with different aromas.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
( well someone had to say it.)

I’m fond of fresh lilac in a sachet. I have a bush in my yard.

The smell of bacon frying over a birch log campfire makes me drool.

I despise patchouli. It smells like someone hasn’t bathed in the last month.

I guess I prefer my women (and there’s so many) scentless, or just very lightly perfumed.

:stuck_out_tongue: You’re the second person on this thread to say that. :stuck_out_tongue:

People posting so many good smells (mostly) - wish I had a scratch-and-sniff screen.

Perfum: I wear Chanel No. 5 (short spritz under the clothes).

Natural odors: Top on my list is the smell of sagebrush after a good rain (from living in Idaho). Also orange blossoms (from my childhood in southern California).

I love the smell of a rich vanilla candle. Or really, Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace body spray and/or lotion is puh-retty sweet (no pun intended) as well. Yup. I like vanilla.

I also adore candles that are apple-cinnamon (or just cinnamon) scented. Hmm. I seem to like food smells. Particularly baking smells…yum!

As far as perfume goes, I like Clinique’s “Happy.” I usually wear that or Victoria’s Secret “Pear Glace” body spray. Ooh, ooh, I also like Bath and Body Works’ “Sun Ripened Raspberry.”

Yup. I like food. And apparently, how it smells.

The smell of sex.
