What is your Favorite...... Smell?

I like the orange blossoms on my orange tree. A divine creamy orange smell. Yum! If I found a parfum that uses that, I’d buy it for someone in an instant.

Ooh, I love smells. I love the smell of my husband when he’s just a bit sweaty. Heck, I love the smell of him when he’s just out of the shower, too. He wears Old Spice, and he wears it well. Mmmmm.

As for me… I asked hubby to pick out a cologne for me for Christmas one year. He chose this wonderful Italian scent, Dolce & Gabbana. He has damn good taste. I love that stuff.

I love lots of other smells, too. Real vanilla. Cedar wood. Pine needles. Chicken soup. Freshwater lakes. Cinnamon. Real ink. (Books don’t smell half as good as they used to.) Cookies fresh from the oven. Freshly bathed baby.

The wonderful scent of burning marijuana.

Jasmine is about the only floral scent I like. The rest are just too, uh, flowery.

Bacon
toast
coffee
gasoline
fresh bread
homemade applesuace cooking

My favorite scent to wear is Guerlain’s Vetiver, although I’ll also wear Drakkar or CK Be. My favorite of my wife’s are Sonia Rykiel and DKNY. We both like most of Aveda’s scents, and love to go the Aveda store just for the smell. And we both like patchouli, which seems to be a “love it or hate it” scent.

Food smells - fresh baked bread, pumpkin pie, or grilling steak.
Home scents - lavender or holly berry

Obsession for women. Old Spice for men. (I guess it reminds me of my dad.) Burning leaves. Barbecue. Certain pipe tobaccos burning. Vanilla. Chocolate. Strawberries. Bread baking. Baby powder. Oranges. Limes. Lemons. Slightly sweaty husband here, too. It’s a light musky scent that’s irresistible!

Okay I didn’t even READ the o.p. before answering, obviously.
My favorite male cologen? I have really never smelled one.
I like the smell of cigars though.
On women, I like carnations and Bath & Body Works Cinnamon pumpkin.

Perfume: Tabu. Smells prety
Food : Steak on the Grill
Natural Aroma : That would be Poontang

Porcupine, when I was a wee slip of a lad, we had night blooming Jasmines growing on a trellis by the front patio. It was lovely. Mixed with the scent of orange blossoms, it was bliss to breathe in the aroma.

WOW someone FINALLY mentioned it!!! I absolutely love that smell. Kinda like vanilla, but not really… mmmmm…

Fav cologne on a man: Preferred Stock, when worn in moderation. Also, whatever this one short, cute guy who is a regular customer at work wears. He doesn’t wear a LOT of it, it’s not overpowering when he’s there, but it lingers for hours. I love it. I keep forgetting to ask him what cologne he wears. (It would sound like a come-on if I did, wouldn’t it?)

Fav perfume for myself: Bath & Body Works Body Splash in Flowering Herbs or Juniper

Fav smells all around: Gasoline, engine, fresh-cut grass, pine tree air fresh’ners, clean laundry, racetrack (fuel + motor + exhaust + french fries + burnt rubber + hot asphalt)

I love the smell of the woods and mountains during the late archery hunting season. Firs, pines, cedars, wood smoke from camp fires, the icy cold fresh air and the the musky smell of the elk.

I like CKbe on my guy.
For some reason a single and specific brand of vanilla peufume turns him on so damn much. I wear it sparingly… unless we’re alone :D:D:D

Cologne: Obsession for Men

Other: 1978 Ridge Monte Bello Cabernet Sauvignon as it was poured into the decanter, age 20. The wine, not me.

Cologne for a man: Has to be Curve or Cool Water
For me: Curve

Other scents: Lilac, Honeydew Melon, mum’s chicken (fried), steak, and other things I dare not mention

Oh, I have a new favorite cologne. This guy in my French and Creative Writing classes had a little bottle of Eddie Bauer cologne that was really, really, really nice.

On a man, I really like Eternity. I literally stop and savor it. I don’t often encounter it these days, probably because it was very popular in the eighties.

Scents in general I like are freesia, vanilla, and honeysuckle.

Remember class, the human nose is capable of detecting more different smells than the eye can detect shades of color.

Used to love the smell of gasoline when I was a kid. I guess I got over it after working on cars a lot.

she smells like popcorn.

But as for perfume, most of them suck hard. ALl men’s and 99% of women’s.

I love “Fracas”, however, which is a combination of Gardenia and Tuberose, two of the most delicious flowers in the world.

I love the scent from real honeysuckles, not whatever bottled or scented candle crap you find littering stores. Also mountain laurel flowers. Mmmmmm.

Cologne: I wear Jako, by Lagerfeld…I don’t think it’s too much of an overt scent.
Perfume: I prefer scents that are not overwhelmingly flowery, and I detest musky odors.
