Whole.
I picked “other” because there was no option for “any way I can get them”!
Off the shelf for the simple reason that if I want them, I want them NOW.
Has anyone had the ones from Trader Joe’s? They are mini. They have dark and milk chocolate versions, and each one is super premium.
I could easily answer “by the bucketful.”
Make our own; I take a bite of chocolate, she takes a bite of peanut butter and we meet in the middle, hmmm.
This is the craziest thing you’ve ever said!
I feel the exact opposite - the minis have way, way too high of a chocolate percentage, and nowhere near enough PB.
Joe
The regular sized ones, I eat the edges first, then by the time that’s done, the top has gotten a little soft and I try to kind of peel that off, then I eat the peanut butter part with just a chocolate coating along the bottom.
The miniatures, I bite the thick chocolate top off, then eat the cup part.
Both of these must be refrigerated to work right.
My other favorite is refrigerated Twix. I eat the caramel off the top first, when it’s cold it separates easier, then eat the cookie.
I voted straight from the fridge, but what I really do is keep them in the freezer, but then let them thaw out to refrigerator consistency. You want it soft, but also the flavor that’s added because of the cold.
Note that that’s my favorite way, not the one I usually use–I usually only buy candy bars for immediate consumption.
Oh, and while I agree the peanut butter leaves something to be desired, I think it tastes a lot better with the chocolate than regular peanut butter. Though the Walmart brand ones have the best peanut butter.
Oh, do I wish I could still eat chocolate.
Intravenously.
Off the shelf. I don’t hang onto them long enough for them to either melt or freeze.
Are you sure? I have said a whole lot of crazy things…recently even. But the mini’s are the superior candy, you are not going to convince me otherwise. The dark chocolate mini’s you sometimes see are even better, but they are always limited edition.
I know. You’re a Dodgers fan, right?
Joe
Dark chocolate Reese’s Easter Eggs would be the best - a very high PB percentage, with the thin dark chocolate. Mmmmm…
Joe
This, a thousand times. The mini PB cups are so much better than the full sized variant. And the Christmas ones look so capital in their little green, red and gold foil uniforms…
You guys are all eating them the wrong way.
Ideally, I like them straight from the fridge. But that impies you actually have the patience to bring it home from the store, throw it in the fridge and then wait.
99.9999% of the time; I do not.
I used to buy a crunchy peanut butter cup. Had small nuggets of peanuts in them. Not very many, but you did get to chew a few tiny pieces of peanut. Wasn’t it Reese’s that sold them? Or maybe I’m thinking of a store brand. It’s been quite a few years since I bought any crunchy peanut butter cups.
Those went in the fridge or freezer too.
Looking at the poll, I see 44 like them cold (fridge or freezer) and 63 straight off the shelf. 17 don’t buy eat them.
