What new 'Breakfast Sandwiches' would you like to be able to buy?

I’m not crazy about eggs in the morning, but I love being able to get a grab-and-eat-neatly-on-the-go sandwich from fast food. Just ham and cheese on a biscuit is good, but I’d love if there were a bigger variety without eggs.

Like:

Toasted english muffin, peanut butter, and bacon.

Grilled peanut butter and cheese.

Ham and cranberry sauce on a biscuit.

What would you like?

I’d be happy to get the bacon-egg-cheese bagel back at McDeath–it has been virused of late…

Second thought–somebody convience Tim Hortons to open back up around here–they had the BEST breakfast biskets, bar none.

I’ll eat most anything at least occasionally, but foods that might be good on an English muffin, bagel, croissant, or similar breakfast starch, include (beyond the obvious candidates of eggs, cheese, sausage, ham and bacon):

spinach
mushrooms
caramelized onions
sautéed bell peppers
sliced turkey
chutney

Probably other stuff, too, but I’m not hungry right now (I just ate) so my food imagination is a bit sluggish.

I’d much rather make a sandwich at home, where I have all sorts of quality ingredients to choose from. Lately I’ve been heating a tortilla, adding what ever leftovers I have, this morning it was baked beans. I then cook an egg, put it on the tortilla with some cheese, salsa, and the beans, then rollitup.

How about a gravy-filled biscuit?

On second thought, it might be a bit messy…but I’d be willing to give one a try.

An English McMuffin that is over easy rather than hard fried.

A egg, sausage and bacon sandwich with tomatoes.

I like Jack in the box’s sausage egg and cheese biscuits I wish more places had them but I guess its proprietary or something. It drives me nuts I can only get bacon egg and cheese biscuits or sausage egg and cheese mcmuffins at mcdonalds.

After that I mainly go to breakfast burritos. Its just so much more convenient way to eat.

English muffin with an egg, feta & gyros meat, add raw onion and tzatziki (or maybe hummus).

And that’s how the driver’s seat upholstery got stained!

So you can get the yolk down the front of your shirt when you bite into it?

Wait—what? At what McDonald’s can you not order a sausage egg and cheese biscuit? Have you tried? They aren’t specifically on the menu, but you can absolutely order it.

Just tried over 4th of july weekend. I always order it with sausage and I always get bacon. When I emphasize the sausage I get a mcmuffin. Admittedly, I only try once a year or so.

Interesting. I used to say “sausage egg biscuit with cheese added” when I was worried they couldn’t do it. But over the last few years (that I can recall, it’s probably been a little over a year since I had one), I’ve never had a problem saying “sausage egg & cheese biscuit.”

I wish more places made it possible to get a breakfast sandwich on just buttered toast (white or sourdough). Sausage, egg, mayo, tomato and cheese. A diner food I love that you can’t really find in the fast food market.

High-fiber bread, avocado, fried eggs, tomato, cheese…basically, lots of protein and fat, and low carb, no red/processed meats.

A chicken-fried steak sandwich, on a biscuit, with gravy, and possibly tomato and pickle.

My experience has been that you can order a sausage and egg biscuit with cheese, but that may not be what you actually get. I’ve gotten a biscuit with egg and cheese but no sausage, and sausage and cheese with no egg. I’m surprised I haven’t gotten sausage egg and cheese with no biscuit!

Three Bridges has Spinach and Bell Pepper egg bites. I prefer their bacon one, but it is still pretty good. I get it at Costco. I put it on an English muffin with cheese.

My fave breakfast sandwich is a poached egg on toasted english muffin, with butter, marmite, hot summer sausage slice, 4 year old cheddar, sun dried tomatoes, onion powder, and chipotle sauce. It would be nice if I could grab that at some drive thru, but I am not holding my breath.
