I can’t hold a candle to a lot of the names around here. I’ve always been especially fond of the vague names with multiple interpretations. Mangetout and particularly thinksnow; I mean really, how can I compete with that?

I wouldn’t have ever thought of changing my username until this afternoon when I ran across a newbie with the delightful moniker Satisfying Andy Licious. I hope he sticks around, I got quite a kick out of that name.
I really wanted to name mine “sit down and shut up or the bunny gets it” but unfortunately it was too long so i made up three other good names but they dont work so i went with blue_poop!
I did a double take on the name bee with an itch yesterday. That’s just too clever…

I used to be FireUnderpantsBoobs, and while I could always count on being mentioned in a “Favorite Usernames” thread, I just didn’t like the name. I didn’t think it was clever; in fact, I grew to think of it as a cheap attention-getter. I’d rather be known for my posts than my name. Unfortunately, my posts aren’t insightful or anything, but I feel better knowing that my username doesn’t shout out “SEX! Now that I’ve got your attention…”
Also, AwSnappity is my AIM name.
If I knew how to change my name I’d switch to Sharon Needles.

I like mine. I think I tried Obesa Cantavit and Sesquipedalian Slubberdegullion first, but they were both taken (by squatters, I think). I also like Winston Smith and iamthewalrus:3=, and I would LOVE to have 23 skidoo. Oh yeah, and Mudshark has a nice ring to it (and I liked his idea of changing it to Vigorous Circular Motion).
I think ** «Ðëëp¤F®ïêd»™** is cool, too. I’d never choose it, though, because of the difficulty in typing it.
I’ve already given Satisfying Andy Licious his/her props, elsewhere, but I still think it’s one of the most clever/amusing names I’ve seen.
I like DancesWithCats and FerretHerder, too. And, Giraffe, too, because giraffes are among my favorite animals. I also like Q.E.D., too. Actually, there are lots of clever names, here, including Already in Use, but I can’t remember most of them off the top of my head.
I hadn’t seen Don’t poke the bear, Dad!, before, but I like it. It’s also really good advice!

I don’t think I’d want to change my username, though. I’ve been using this one for almost twenty years, when it’s available, and it fits. It was also bestowed upon me, so I feel less self-conscious about using it than I might about using something I made up. It did generate an annoying amount of attention from the gay community, on some boards in the past, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem, here.
Oh! Just saw Vigorous Circular Motion. That’s cool, too.
I like mine, but I guess if there was a forced name-trade, I’d trade out THINKsnow for thinksNOW.
