Not a fan of this at all. First off, Trump doesn’t need something else named after him.
But it’s really just a new troll word for the pro-Trump anti-libs to attack anyone who expresses any anger towards Trump. (Such anger fills them will glee.) The pseudointellectualism doesn’t hide that it’s still just calling them “deranged,” an insult with no concrete meaning.
There’s no need to try and rehabilitate these snarl words. It’s actually a tactic to add right-wing concepts to the discourse. It’s why SJW and PC are things now. Even if there is a legit concept, we don’t need to let them coin the terms and frame the narrative.
Like I said before, if asahi has any mental illness, it is merely depression. Anger and lashing out is a part of that. I do also suspect he is self-medicating, so inhibitions are lowered. He’s saying thoughts a lot of us have but have the sense to realize they are bullshit.
The guy does make sense part of the time, so I do suspect he just drinks himself into a stupor over how shitty he feels. It’s bad enough for me, and I don’t have depression. I have to fight every day not to give into despair. If you’re prone to depression, I can’t help but be sympathetic through this time.
Of course, maybe he’s just an asshole, or even an alt-right troll. Whatever. But he doesn’t have this made up psych disorder, and if he did, that would only be a reason to feel sorry for him, not hate him.

Oh for fuck’s sake, it’s not a real mental illness. It’s just a description for people who go completely apeshit over the president and lose all sense of perspective. My dad’s the same goddamn way. You can’t talk to him about Trump without him ranting and raving.

You can’t leave us hanging. What is the end game you envision? My mother always warned me to wear clean underwear, just in case somebody should unexpectedly force me to capitulate and obey.
:rolleyes: with the both-sidesism. Truth and lies exist. The people going nuts over Obama were buying lies. The people who “go nuts” over to Trump are reacting to genuine threats to our democracy.
There will be a national emergency, a financial collapse. It won’t be like 2008; there will be chaos. At that point, a coalition of progressives and the military will have to take over and impose order. We will need special tribunals to administer quick justice to the conservatives and to permanently pry their hands from the yoke of power. A new constitution must be written with all 50 states force to comply or face the threat of armed occupation by the military. Call it Reconstruction II.
