Best to FCM and FCD and congrats to those who’ve earned them! (Can you tell I retained little?)
Scooped the litter box this morning, brushed my hair, did an emergency rat transfer (little chewed themselves an exit hole) and will shortly head to irk.
I did - my brain hasn’t caught up to my fingers yet.
On a random note, my daughter has turned into Winnie the Poo. We got some tupelo honey in Savannah over the summer and the girl appears to have guzzled it. I caught her last night with the honey and a spoon. At the time, there was some left. Not anymore.
Glorious day today. It was 51 degrees when I got up and out this morning, now it’s a lovely 62.
Glad I went back for my hoodie.
Stayed too long at the dog park and got home late.
I wanted to be able to clean up before taking the truck in, and I am covered in doggie drool and mud.
Not an issue anymore. The shop called and said they got the info from the insurance company and I could come in anytime between 8 and 5. However, he said they wanted to close up at 2 today for the long weekend. I said I have an appointment for 11. He said you don’t need an appointment. I took the hint, they want to get the hell out of there, so I said I’d come in Tuesday.
One of the dogs at the park, Jax, doesn’t want to do anything but play ball. He prefers that I throw the ball, unless Lily’s mom is there, then he takes the ball to her. That’s because we throw like shit and don’t wear him out as quickly. He often drops the ball in the water bowl while he drinks, so he brings me a sopping wet ball, in his dripping mouth, and stands in front of me until he is ready to drop it. When I wear shorts, I have streaks of doggie drool running down my legs. Today I wore pants, and my pants are soaked from knee to ankle. Buttercup and Coco like to drink, then jump up on the table behind me and drip down my back. Or give me a big wet kiss, yuk. Coco also likes to dig in the water bowl and splash everybody in range.
Little chilly today for all that.
I crack up at the people who think they can come to the park and stay clean.
Hope all goes well with FCD, FCM.
Congrats Oopsie.
Today is subscribe and save delivery day.
The dogs will be so happy to have their treats. All they have right now are milk bones, and they are not happy about it.
11 more cases of Covid reported on campus this week. I wonder what the threshold number for reverting to virtual is? None in any of my classes yet, but the year is young. In the meantime, everybody is masked and careful(ish) in my classroom!
Hope everyone has a sane and safe Friday! Let’s be safe out there.
Back at the hospital in the waiting room. Hoping to see the doc within an hour. Also hoping I remembered everything. I did grab a sweater - a/c is cool in here.
A couple just left with their kid, bitching because their procedure has to be rescheduled. Because they fed their kid breakfast this morning.
Like a bowl of cereal is no big deal…
I’m with you on dog park attire sari. I wear nothing that can’t be thrown in the wash when I get home.
Up, caffeinated, breakfasted, have the bed stripped and remade, towels and sheets done, a load of clothes in the wash and one in the dryer, kitchen and bath cleaned, floors swept and mopped and am fixing to vacuum. After that, I’ll shower and put on public going clothes to go grocery shop. That should complete about half the list for this nice, long weekend.
Good to hear that FCD’s surgery went well, I hope he learns to behave and be the model patient for you, Moooooom
{{{{{Shoe}}}}} just because.
I have read but not retained, I am far too tired for that. It’s been a long and difficult week one way or another. Our last exam board is next Friday so that means next week is possibly going to be even worse but at least the end is in sight.
silenus I wonder what it’s going to be like when we are back on campus in a few weeks’ time. We have been told we all need to do 3 days a week in the campus office, but we haven’t got restrictions on numbers, we are all going back to face-to-face teaching, and we have no idea how case numbers will react. Given what’s been happening in Scotland since the schools went back, I don’t hold out much hope as their case numbers have doubled in two weeks.
Oh well…off to do some meaningful exercise instead of sitting on my ever-expanding posterior.
