I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and trim back the wisteria that threatens to grab passers-by. Unfortunately, while I was disentangling it from my hedge clippers, I hit the power button, and sliced into my left index finger. Not extremely painful and not very deep, but definitely bloody. FCD helped patch it up and he made a finger condom out of a nitrile glove finger, so I can do my chores without soggying up the bandaid. So I’m good.
Supper will be turkey and gravy over rice and green beans-onions-mushrooms.
I started watching the latest season of The Crown - too busy to binge, but I did watch 2 episodes. It’s a start! 
I’ll knock the sawdust to the floor before sweeping, but that’s as far as I’ll go!
What do you do for an encore?

Feeling much better! Tooth pain is less than half of what it was, and temp is heading toward normal. I napped some more, then got up and watered plants and sorted through mail. After I’ve rested, I’ll shower. It’s so good to be feeling better!

Boo, the holiday episodes of GBBS are fun, but they’re not nearly as good as the series. Be prepared to start craving Bakewell tarts and plaited breads!
Howdy Y’all! Been a dreary, drizzly, gray day here in south Jawja. A good day for bein’ inside. We deheathenated, then, bein’ the gourmets we are, ordered food from Waffle House (while sittin’ in the church parkin’ lot, just to add to the class), went and picked it up, came back to da cave and et it all. First time we have gotten to go stuff from there. Oh well, we got fed, so it’s all good. The biiiiiiiiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Chillage continues.
We shall be havin’ Christmas Eve services at two p.m. and four p.m. on Christmas Eve (duh!). The plan is for the four p.m. to be an outdoor service so we can socially distance enough to be able to sing a couple of hymns. This is, of course, if the weather cooperates. A little cold is fine, but rain is not.
Nuts sorry about your aunt’s diagnosis. Hopefully the uncle will pitch in, or, as MetalMouse said be persuaded to via a kick in the pants.

I’m not a big fan of cookin’ shows, but y’all are about to convince me to take a look at The GBBS.
My bro just sent out an email uninviting everyone for Christmas. He’s been hosting the family for years, and this year, he was going to set things up in his garage and driveway. But he and his SO got word of 2 families who gathered over Thanksgiving, and the majority of those who gathered now have COVID. So bro decided not to risk it.
We weren’t going anyway - Daughter wants to host at her house and it’ll just be the 5 of us. She and Roxy and I are going to see my mom on the 21st, and one of my sisters will be stopping over to give Roxy her gifts. But that’ll be it for holiday visits for us. Maybe this summer we can all get together again.
swampy - as it happens, I had my ice cream (well, frozen yogurt) before my owie. Do I still get more?? 
Gonna assume the chill position, and maybe have some wine so maybe I can sleep better tonight, since I have to wrangle Roxy tomorrow. Then I won’t get her again till next year.
Early evening all. The Red Robin (Yum) trip stuffed me nicely (shouldn’t have had that second helping of fires, though…), so came home and then did a little shopping and mailed some bills, just to stay awake after the big meal. Didn’t help, the tackleball was so boring I ended up taking a nap anyway. Rain is due in a couple of hours so just as well I got the outdoors stuff done.
FCM, impressive shelves, looks like they’ll hold a lot of stuff. And FWIW I think brother-unit is being wise, hope the rest of the family agrees. And a finger-condom…I think I’ll leave that one to flytrap or someone else to respond to…

15:35, and I’m hungry. I had two scrambled eggs and a sausage patty for breakfast about five hours ago. I felt snacky, so I had a Landjäger about half an hour ago; and I’ve just had some blue cheese.
I think it might be about time for a cheeseburger on low-carb bread.
Just retrieved a pork roast from the Instant Pot. Once it cools sufficiently, I’ll get it shredded and seasoned (going for Asian-ish) . Then, a beef pot roast is in queue. Yes, I’m aiming for enough stuff done today that dinners for the coming week are covered.

Remaining laundry folded and put away, a new project started in the studio and supper (mostly) ingested. I’ll work another hour in the studio after KP and do a bit of surfing after that.

Good evening, all. I stopped at Lee’s for fried chicken (and mashed N.O.T.s with gravy, of course) but their line was taking FOREVER.
So I aborted mission & headed home. Now that I’ve chilled a bit (and maybe their dinner rush has slowed) I’m contemplating heading back out there. They’ll be closed by the time I get off tomorrow night.

I just caught the last five minutes of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” I’m almost sixty-six, I saw it the first time I was on, when I was almost eleven, fifty-five years ago. Still the best Christmas special ever, the only one which really talks about, in Linus speech, what Christmas is all about.
In the nursey business we call those finger condoms finger cots. Used to be that was what the doc used to…uh…um palpate a prostate. “Hey, nurse, hand me a condom” is so awkward. “Hand me a cot is not so bad.
