Whatever became of the Fairy Girls?

Of course you know that I refer to the two young British girls who purportedly took photos of fairys dancing in the creek behind their house in the early part of the century. There was a movie made a few years back, though I haven’t seen it, so I don’t know what tack the film took vis a vis the girls’ truthfulness.

Question: Did the girls (probably dead by now or in their 90s) ever admit to a hoax, or did they go to their graves swearing the photos were genuine?
