What's the best canned chili for a chili size?

I don’t usually bother with canned chili (except to make chili dogs sometimes), but I like Dennisons. They make a hot and spicy chili that goes well with chili dogs IMHO.

Same concept.

I wouldn’t want to spend hours making The World’s Best Chili, only to make a chili size with it.

Sometimes you just NEED a good hot and spicy chili dog with heaps of cheddar cheese and some chili fries on the side. I generally pay for it later, but when you need it you need it.

(Now I’m hungry)

It isn’t.

If I’m going to go through the trouble of browning ground beef, then I might as well just make chili.

I recently bought a couple cans of Hormel chili (sans beans) but I haven’t made any hotdogs yet, so I can’t comment on it. However, the Hormel white chili with chicken and white beans (they were all on sale) was surprisingly edible.

Nor me. I read the linked thread several times. The words are English, but I could not penetrate their meaning.

I said it once already but I will say it again - Wolf Brand Chili is now available at Jewel and Dominick’s stores in Chicago. I also checked the Aldi nearby and they have it as well.

I was just at my local (South Carolina) Ingles and was Worl Brand Chili on sale (3 for $5) so I bought a can. In the name of science I went ahead and bought some hotdogs and buns. Will report my findings later. I’m not sure yet if I want to open both the Hormel and the Wolf Brand at the same time to do a direct comparison. Maybe if someone sends me a dollar or two to offset my costs.

I found the Hormel to be tollerable and the Wolf Brand to be good. I wouldn’t want to eat either one of them plain, but the Wolf Brand is good on a chili dog. (These are both without beans).

Whatever you do, don’t bother with Worf Brand chili. Klingons may be the greatest warriors in the universe, but they can’t make chili for shit.
