What's the best smell for men?

This is my first ‘new thread’, so let’s try this out!

This week, some friends from work encouraged me to buy new cologne. So after a lot of sniffing (and headaches), I decided to go with Boss - Hugo Boss. I really like it. I really don’t like the price, but oh well.

I am curious to see which cologne you think is the best. I want to hear from both guys and girls.
Obviously, I’m a Boss fan!

from a girl, my favorite for an MOS is –

Preferred Stock

NONE! Just use deodorant like a normal person. Men’s cologne makes me want to gag.

Too much of anything isn’t good.

I like Curve (for men, of course) or Perry Ellis Reserve.

Try oils instead of cologne. They don’t smell as ‘distinctly’ shall we say, but enough to get pheromones going. Also, they last for days.

I like the smell of Drakkar, but I prefer the smell of “I Took a Shower Today”

I like something clean and light scented. Right now the first thing that comes to mind is a very light touch of Adidas sport.

My boyfriend found one I like that smells like a pile of leaves in the fall. That’s the best I can describe it. Not musty, and not as sharp as the grassy scents.

Amen!

Big fat WORD!!!
(see above)

I’m very cool with Boss, but do take care that you do not go overboard. Just take it easy that you don’t give the people around you headaches with your scent.

I also love the scent of a freshly-showered man… still-wet hair…

These are such crappy colognes mentioned above, no wonder some women don’t like them. A good cologne, though expensive, like a good perfume, will last a very long time, will not have such a sharp “taste” of smell to it, and is hardly noticeable except up close. The other point of the cologne being so rich, is that you only need one dab or spray, not a load of it. It’s not deoderant! I’ve been around folks that use Drakkar like a deoderant (aside from trying to cover the smell of pot) as well as Boss and OldSpirit. Yuck!
I use Luciano Pavoratti Cologne, made in Europe, very expensive, very nicely scented, I’ve had a 10oz. bottle for 4 years now, not quite done with it yet. One spray is all it needs. I’ve had nothing but compliments over it when someone gets close to me they ask if I’m wearing anything, or if that’s just how I normally smell, they say they really like it. Good luck trying to find it in the states though.

I’ve always liked Obsession for Men. I haven’t met anyone yet who over uses it (which is what usually turns me off of a scent), so it must still be my favourite.

What? Colonge? Don’t any of you women-folk go for the more natural smells? I personally like to waver between “eau de gasoline and grass clippings” and “motor oil with gojo.”

Hai Karate!

But you really got to slather it on!

[Barbara Feldon voice] Hey, all you tiiigers out there . . . All my men wear Top Brass.

[Lainie Kazan voice] But there’s something about an Aqua Velva maaaaaan . . . .

. . . God, I feel old . . .

So you walk around smelling from prosciutto and mortadella?

I love Abercrombie & Fitch (for men). They sell it at Victoria’s Secret (and I’m sure at the store of the same name, too).

If a guy is wearing a great cologne, and it’s subtle, then he will come off as much more attractive to me.

ya Rodd, go ahead and joke…

Obsession for Men, no doubt. A man wears that and I’m hooked. Just a little though, a spritz on the back of the neck and on the chest, then a spray you walk into before you leave the house.

hijack: I hate when men put cologne under their ears, by their neck, so when you kiss them there you taste it. Yuck! The back of the neck is a much better spot.
