I do. I cried on her behalf.
Cell phone: $300
4 GB U3 Sandisk micro (keychain): $100
1 GB Sandisk Micro (also Keychain): 20 dollars (was more when I bought it though)
Wallet and misc inside: Approx 50 dollars (replacement fees, as well as cost of wallet)
Shoes: 50 dollars
Random Shirt: 15 dollars (average)
Random Pants: 15 dollars
Underwear and socks : 15 dollars (would have to buy whole bag)
Not much. My phone and flash drives are more expensive than anything I have on me on person by far.
Now if it is while I am at school, I typically have a 30 dollar backpack, My 1500 dollar laptop, replacement battery, and one or two 100 dollar school books, as well as a few inexpensive school supplies.
Replacing the notes and homework… not a matter of money, but definitely time consuming.
This is assuming I still have my medical and cell phone insurance, and I’m wearing my typical work uniform:
Glasses: $0 (new year, vision benefits start over, woohoo!)
Dress shirt: $30
Undershirt: $5
Tie: $20
Underwear: $5

Leatherman Micra: $20
Wallet: $30
Driver’s license replacement: $10
Other miscellaneous cards: $5, max
Total: $683.50
If we’re assuming I have to pay for the glasses and electronics myself, that’s probably:
Glasses: $400
Blackberry $400
Phone: $300
Bringing the total to: $1783.50
Let’s see.

Wedding ring - $300
Purse - $250
Wallet - $20
Car keys - about $50 to remake everything?
Makeup - $100
Nothing else really of value in my purse, so overall, it would come to $8440, the bulk of that being my wedding rings.
E.

Shoes-maybe 40.
socks $2
pants-$25
shirt-$20
rings and bracelet-$100 (I’m guessing)
wallet-$15
cell phone-$30

Close to $1,100 on me on any given day, sometimes more, sometimes less. I don’t always carry my piece, so that cuts it by more than half.

Cash - $1.11

Total: $194.35
Geez that’s some big money walking around. I guess we’re talking about purchase price, not current values?
Green t-shirt: $8 probably 10 years ago
Quilted Flannel Shirt: Free, given to me by my dad
Jeans: $20 probably 10 years ago
Shoes: $50 2 years ago
Socks: $2
Boxers: $3
Wallet: About $45 in cash
So about $128 if everything were new.
Wow, what a great question. I never really thought about it until I saw this thread. Let’s see, on a typical workday:
eyeglasses $300
shirt $25
pants $30
belt $15
wallet (not counting contents) $20
watch $30
socks $2
boxers $5
shoes $80
cell phone $100
wedding band $150
microcassette recorder $90
That get’s me to $847
If we count my camera (which actually belongs to the paper) add another $1000 or so. If it’s a really cold day, I’d probably also be wearing my old leather jacket which was about $300 when my parents gave it to me for Christmas 10 years ago.
Okay, I’ll play along.
Let’s assume this is on a day I’m wearing glasses. It’s rare but more expensive than my usual routine of contact lenses.
Glasses: $600 (this is assuming the frames are $100; lenses have high index, anti glare [crizal], and Transitions built in)
shirt: ~ $20
pants/skirt: ~$30
shoes: $40
purse: $40
cell phone: $300
flash drive key fob: $40
book: $20
watch: $40
engagement ring: $300 (I’m really not sure, so this is an estimate based on materials [titanium and white sapphire] and the average price on the site for the company that it was purchased from.)
key chain (carabiner): $2
replacement keys: $20 (for all of them; house, car, etc.)
sunglasses: $20
Total: $1,452 Not too awful, and the prescription eyewear is what really killed the costs.
I occasionally carry other things, but this generally is it.
My turn. let’s see… if it happened right at this moment:
Glasses $400 (don’t wear 'em every day, though)
Cufflinks $100
Wristwatch $200 (was a gift many years ago, but that’s probably a fair replacement cost)
Wedding ring $400
Shirt $60
T-shirt $3
Underwear $3
Belt $80
Suit coat and pants $250
Socks $2
Dress shoes $150
Keys $20
Pocketknife $150 (engraved with my wedding date - that would be a big sentimental loss)
Pocket calendar $10 (although reproducing it, with all the dates that I’d otherwise forget, would be a huge pain in the ass)
Pen $2
Security keycard $20
Total: $1,850.
Wow. My stuff’s worth more than I’d have guessed…
