Perhaps I’m the first person who knows where they will buy the Extended Edition!
At the Costco at Pentagon City. The weekend it is released.

No intention of buying it, but I will be seeing it in a theater today for the second time. I found Fellowship improved the second time out, so I’m hoping the same holds true for Towers.
Still, I only buy DVDs for movies I consider particularly special, and though the LOTR films are well done, I doubt I’ll ever own them. Still, I’m looking forward to ROTK.
Our local Wal-Mart must have gotten a bad batch. Mr. Pug exchanged the original one today, and the new disc was just as f***ed up. Then he went and bought one at Costco, and that one worked fine. I guess that’s why Wal-Mart was selling them so cheap!
$14.99 at Target (plus, a free 2 liter of 7-Up, and $3 off two packs of batteries that I already had in my cart before I saw the offer).
I will end up buying both editions, just like the last one. My theatrical version came in handy while traveling, I didn’t feel like taking the bulky extended edition with, and I didn’t worry so much about it getting lost or stolen. Plus, the EE comes with the Gollum statue, I like stuff like that.
Heh. Just got it for my anniversary.
pugluvr Thanks for posting the wal-mart price, iit was cheaper than Best Buy’s this time, and it was a hell of a lot closer to home
