I have resumed my efforts to get a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). It’s a very common certification for project managers, and is required for a lot of positions.

I was lucky to have worked in project management prior to PMP credentials coming into existence. I was starting to see job announcements with that as a requirement about the time I retired. I had other certifications like Facilities Management Professional from BOMI International, but am glad I didn’t have to do it all again for yet another piece of paper.
