We went to the farmer’s market today and made off with two catnips, a Mr. Stripey tomato and a German Pink tomato. They will all be planted tomorrow. I predict that very cat in the neighborhood will be hanging out on our porch all summer, much to Katy’s chagrin.
The local farmer’s market here is awesome. in all ways except the parking layout. We’ve decided we have to go back every week or so over the summer as more fruits and veggies come ripe. I’m going to make jam.
Swampy, I’ve got an HP Photosmart printer as well as the new printer I bought yesterday. I’ve had the old HP probably going on 7 or 8 years and it’s never given me a single problem. That’s kind of why I went with another HP.
I’m kind of punked out all of a sudden. It was a late night and early morning, and between puttering around the house, going to get my daughter her cell phone and grocery shopping, more puttering and laundry, I’m kind of running out of steam.
I have one or two more loads of laundry to go, but let’s face it; doing laundry isn’t actually all the strenuous. It’s not like I’m using a tub and washboard, or a stream and rocks to do it. The part I hate most about laundry is the folding and putting away.
We’ve decided we’ll host a BBQ for Mother’s Day. My daughter and her sweetie have agreed to come and bring his mother along. We’ll have to contact our mothers and see if they want to come. I’m positive my MiL will be here, but my mother may end up at my sister’s place. We’ll see what shakes out. If she opts to go to my sister’s place, that means I can invite my dad and stepmother and they’ll actually come. They don’t like to be around my mother too much because she’s such a Negative Nelly.
I have an HP and it’s the first one that super crapped out on me. It doesn’t take paper right and it runs through ink. Poo.
Am Yisrael Chai! Apparently tomorrow my son’s kindergarten is doing something ‘age-appropriate’ for Yom HaShoah…so they’re wearing Star of David necklaces and buttons and focusing on…I don’t know. Six year old Jewish pride? Anyway, I stayed up late to make him a Star of David applique with chai in it…didn’t realize until midway through that it was, uh, kinda reminiscent of WWII…just more colorful. At least I didn’t put his nickname inside…you know…Jude. :o Anywho, he will look badass!
Erhm…oh well.
Fairy, nannas are grosssssss…and they’re so…oddly shaped. :o
Hope everyone had a good week. Tomorrow I have an appt with my son’s exec director to complain. WOohoOo.
