I used to know a girl named Ditto…
No pink bunny suit in the basement, dammit. So, is it in the guest room closet? Hope so. If it’s in the attic, it’s probably garbage by now.
Did she repeat herself?
Trying to get my brain booted for a long volunteer day. Doesn’t help that BratCat, after yelling at me for having the nerve to hit the euphemism before serving her breakfast, sniffed at said breakfast and walked away. Oh well, her problem whether she eats or not. She’s young, healthy, not even close to starvation (despite those Siamese yells for her morning/evening canned goo), and she has kibble down at all times.
Gotta get breakfast down, get the hair under control, etc. within the next 15 minutes or less, so of course I’m here.
This is a cat trait. My spoiled brat does the same thing. In fact, she has gotten it in her furry little head that every one of my visits to the euphemism is immediately followed by a trip to the kitchen and therefore time for fuds. She’s 13 and too much like me in her eating habits, but still healthy and happy.
If your bored, drive up my way & finish my laundry. I’ll pay you in foam Energizer bunny ears. (A friend of mine flew this)
In other news, I wet the [del]bed[/del] pillow & my eyes hurt.
Yes those two items are related…OBL’s terminal.
Mawnin all,
I haz a blurf and coffee is not working yet.
I’ll be back
Jim
Chilly blurf.
Nearing the end of the coffee free week. It can’t come soon enough.
Happy Thorsday!
It’s 6 degrees above freezing, the sun was shining.
I’s feel blurfy because the dog woke me at 3 and I didn’t get back to sleep until 6.
Then I had to be logged in at 9.
Another slow irk day.
I haven’t heard back on the house so it is probably already rented.
What will be will be.
I found a cute little Victorian I can afford to buy. I hadn’t checked it out because the picture is ugly, but after clicking on it and looking at the rest of the pics it’s really cute.
The neighbor is a real estate agent and can work in that county so we are getting serious now.
The kid is giving me grief, he doesn’t want to move.
He can stay here if he wants, he’ll be 18, I’d rather he comes with me but at that point it’s his decision.
Unless any of you can tell me why it would be a bad idea I want to put him on the deed to the house as well. So I wanted to wait until he is 18 to buy.
On a lighter note the driving lessons are going well.
He found and is using the gas pedal
He also used his debit card for the first time.
Little brat, he says he hopes the groceries are not coming out of his money.
Came in to work today and no email. Ok no problem, I will work on some stuff on the shared drive. Nope. Ok, I will goof off on the interwebs. Nope. AAAHHHH! Got email and shared drives back pretty quickly but no internet till just now. Of course the first thing I had to do was come here and check on y’all. Good to see the MMP is still standing. Hopefully that is the end of my excitement for today.
hehehehe - can’t wait to hear how hard his life is when he’s got to deal with it on his own. I remember when I got my first apartment and realized all those things that were always at home didn’t just materialize there. Kitchen drawers don’t come full of utensils, toilet brushes aren’t installed with the toilet, laundry detergent doesn’t miraculously appear on the washer, and groceries don’t just buy themselves.
Kids are so cute when they’re figuring out the whole “adult” thing.
I found a serving of lasagna in the back of the freezer, so that’s lunch. Meatloaf for supper. Laundry’s all out on the line, and as soon as I’m done with lunch, I’ll be attaching the closet in the guest room. That should be fun…
Howdy Y’all! Back from my tour of the west forty. Well, the near west forty as I didn’t go all the way to the end of the west forty this time. I’s also hongry so N.O.L.time in the very near future.
{{{Spidey}}} I’m so sorry about OBL. He’s had a good and much loved life but that still does not make this easy.
flytrap to answer an earlier question, Rotisserie is the thing that rotisses. Thus one can say “I’m goin’ to rotiss a chikin,” or “I am rotissin’ a chikin,” or “I rotissed a chikin.” Hence the verb, “to rotiss.” Thus concludes the Mumper grammar lesson for the day.
There’s nothing worse than the heartbreak of a guest room with detached closet.
So, my daily headaches don’t appear to be caffeine withdrawal. Rather, they are hunger headaches. This is good, in that it’s evidence I really am keeping my calorie intake down, but it’s bad because it’s interfering with work. The problem is, when I take my ADHD meds, I don’t get hungry at all until the evening. So, I’m not getting a “time to eat” signal. The other problem is, I don’t have very good plans for lunch. I constantly forget to bring it with me. I have some emergency food in my file cabinet, but I’ve eaten all the oatmeal, and the canned soup was so bad, I threw it out. Yeah, I can get something at the cafe downstairs, but it’s not healthy, and it’s expensive over the long run.
I really need to figure something out.
Uh, excuse me. I do believe that standing in line at the post office to buy stamps is demonstrably worse.
They have a commercial for it and all.
Well, my anxiety is through the roof right now. Why can’t they get some pretty young thing to be receptionist? I have a couple of people to nominate. I can hear everyone. Everyone can see me. I want my cubicle walls, dammit.
It is French for “roast”, so I’d go for “I shall endeavor to rotisserie a fowl”, or “I rotisseried a fowl.”
Of course, being French, they probably change it every week or two.
HAH!! Oh how I despise that commercial!!! And I’ll ignore BBBobbio’s cheap shot at my typo and say that there’s no bunny suit in the closet. That leaves the attic, or we got rid of our costumes.
**flytrap **- if you’re going to be all literal about definitions, you should just go find another thread to hang out in. The MMP isn’t bound by conventional vocabulary, even if we do prefer good grammar and recognizable spelling. So deal!
I was just outside checking my laundry - it’s COLD out there! It was supposed to be sunny and 52 today. It’s overcast, 45, and windy. So far, spring sucks!
Blargh. That’s afternoon for blurf. It’s also how I feel right now. Thinkin’ I should go home and take some Benadryl[sup]TM[/sup] and assume a horizontal position for a while. Stoopid pollen! Stoopit sinuses!
