Which new Fall network shows are you going to give a try?

I don’t even bother dvr’ing half the time, so not sure what I’ll catch. I work an early shift, and don’t tend to watch things as their airing anyway. So…not sure what I’ll watch. But a couple look ok; I’m just not easily hooked. I haven’t seen any ads at ALL for No Ordinary Family, so might actually try to catch that just to see what it is.
And The Event can bite me. Hated Lost from the get-go, I do not watch soap operas, and this looks like both.

I’ll catch at least the first episode of Raising Hope and Running Wilde. They’re both on after Glee (which I am uberstoked for!).

I’m curious to watch “S#*! My Dad Says” mostly because I’m always interested in anything new that The Shat is up to.

I’m really not feeling it for this new TV season. I read through both EW and TVG’s Fall Preview magazines and nothing really stood out. So I’m gonna do what I usually do and wait and see what gets picked up for a new season before I even think about watching most of these (especially the serials).

With that said, I will at least check out Chase (I would really like to find out that this show is actually good, because it’s a premise I know I’d like), No Ordinary Family (hope it’s more Incredibles and less Heroes), Running Wild (ONLY because of Will Arnet), and Shit My Dad Says (just to see if this is the Hank or Cavemen of the season).

I don’t see it listed in this poll, but I also want to check out Boardwalk, but not until a couple of episodes air first, so that I can watch a couple hours worth if I start to dig it.

And no fucking way in hell am I watching The Event. #1 it’s on NBC, #2 it’s a serial, #3 it’s being way way overadvertised as filling the gap of Lost and #4 it sounds dumb. So I am rooting against this show.

Heh, The Shit starring The Shat.

I’ll try that one 'cause I’m a fan of the Twitter feed (shut up) and Detroit 1-8-7 to see what they get wrong and what they get right.

I’ll watch the pilots - or at least the beginning of the pilots of pretty much everything.

I’ve lasted 18 whole minutes into “Hawaii Five-O.” It isn’t good. “You have brought me here to the place where my grandfather died and I don’t have time to bury my father” is probably not supposed to inspire giggling. But the line reading was hysterically awful.

I’m looking forward to “No Ordinary Family,” and I liked “Alias” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” - so I think I’ll like “UnderCovers” in spite of itself. but other than that, it seems like a weak year.

So Molly and Mike lived up to expectations. Mostly fat jokes. And some lesbian jokes.

It is already off the record list. I might end up taking most of that Monday lineup off. The only one I still like is How I Met Your Mother.

I’ve still to see the DVR’ed copy of Chase from last night but the little I saw doesn’t look promising. I’ll give Lone Star at least one more episode before deciding. I don’t need more evidence on The Event, though. Loser.

Imperioli’s show and Blue Bloods are my last hopes for a new one I can like.

Nikita would be on my list, but it’s on against too many other things my family watches already. I enjoyed the premiere of The Event, but my mom whined through it the whole time. So that hour of prime time might get dedicated to watching previously DVR’d shows, and I’ll move my The Event watching to streaming sources. I’m very excited to watch Hawaii 5-0 (the premiere is waiting for me on my DVR), and I hear Masi Oka will be reoccuring. Squee! Running Wilde I’m only giving a chance because of the cast. And I’m very, very, very excited for Undercovers, because the cast, concept, and creators are all appealing.

I DVR’ed “The Event” last night, but was already skeptical because of the responses I was seeing on Twitter. I see now that I’m watching that it was a mistake. I watched “The Chase” for a bit, found it offensively boring, and turned it off. I should’ve gone ahead and tried “Hawaii Five-O”, it seems. I’ll try it next week.

I’m most looking forward to “Undercovers.” And I’ve been finding “Nikita” enjoyable, but I’m a big Maggie Q and Shane West fangirl.

Watched the first episode of Hellcats, the main character just rubs me the wrong way.

There ya go! Can’t be disappointed if you expect to be disappointed. Or something.

lol By the end of summer [del]all will be[/del] nothing was revealed. NBC had to be strong trolling with those promos.

Just took a chance and watched the premiere ep of “Detroit 1-8-7” with Michael “Christophu” Impierioli and James “Lt. Fancy” McDaniel. It was not bad, though a last moment “plot twist” was telegraphed about halfway through. It’s meant to be a gasper, and instead I was rather “meh.” But the show looks solid, if overly reliant upon the gimmick of bleeping out profanity and pixelating characters’ mouths as they speak them, even though in context it’s entirely clear what they’re saying. It’ll be interesting to see where this one goes.

I just watched Running Wilde and got a few chuckles, but was not really too impressed.

It has potential, but I could also see it just staying mediocre, going for the odd cheap laugh a la almost every other FOX comedy in recent memory.

Watching it reminded me of two bits of trivia I heard years ago.

Keri Russell said in an interview that she lost her virginity at 13 years old. (I am 98% sure it was her I am thinking of—I think this was in Rolling Stone, back while Felicity was still on)

Will Arnett saw the Grateful Dead play over 60 times.

My thoughts. It would take some terrible flaws for me not to give this a good chance. I just hope the plot lines are less contrived as we get to know the people. I will not miss the Baby Love ringtones!

We really don’t follow any network shows. Yes, sometimes if we’re flipping through and something looks interesting we might sit through an episode but typically that’s the sum total of our involvement. The point being though that despite that disinclination, the trailers for The Event have got me wondering just what it could be that causes that level of crisis. I’m a little curious and would tune in if I knew the answer was to be presented.

Detroit 1-8-7 was great! I have a great dislike of Imperioli based simply on those dumb liquor ads, but he was pretty good in this show. Hang on…

But yeah, I hope some of the sillier gimmicks get abandoned quickly

I’m looking forward to getting totally involved in this show and then having less than stellar ratings force it to be moved around until it gets cancelled. You’re missed, Charlie Crews.

Watched Raising Hope and Running Wilde last night just to see what’s what. (Plus I like Martha Plimpton and Keri Russell.)

Raising Hope was better than expected. (But I wasn’t hoping for much.) A lesser version of My Name is Earl. Instead of winning the lottery, our “hero” wins a baby.

Running Wilde was just awful.

I will try them all except My Generation. Got to draw the line somewhere.
Actually too many conflicts with the DVRs that night, maybe it will be on demand and I will give it a try.

I enjoyed Running Wilde a lot more than I thought I would. I found it ridiculous but absolutely hilarious. I’m going to keep watching until it gets canceled.
