Who are you & what time is it in the MMP?

The house is smelling yummy! Half my knitting is in the dryer, the rest is in the washer - I didn’t realize I’d made so much stuff!!

Just talked to my mother - I’m going to take ribs and corn to her place on Sunday and she’ll make salad and dessert. So I need to smoke the ribs tomorrow. Which means I need to figure out what we’ll have for supper tomorrow. Always something…

Pent 2. Closely confined or held back –> repent = you flunked again? :o

I somehow knew that because I got a Captain & Coke.

That sucks, mebbe get a male refrigerator next time. :stuck_out_tongue:
The bar/restaurant I was going to go for dinner apparently becomes a club on Firday night; I could hear the joint rockin to dance music when I turned the corner to the street they were on. It was not quiter inside. I stayed all of about 10 seconds.

We ordered pizza for lunch, and there is enough left over for dinner.
I am stuffed though, my belly hurts.

I was like that in school too MetalMouse, but my son is not so good at it. He’s got 10 pages down and 5 to go, but he needs more proofreading that I ever did, and I am irking long hours and I’m tired.
I keep falling asleep between phone calls, and that is not good. His paper is due at midnight, but he’d better be done by 10, because that is when I am going to bed. I have very little faith in my proofreading skills that late anyway.

Woke up this morning to cat carnage. Annoyed by being locked out of the bedroom, she dragged a package of hamburger buns off the table, tore them open and randomly gnawed them so none are edible.

GEYSER! GAAAAH! Turned on the irrigation system and heard my wife shriek. Ran out to the back and saw a lovely ten foot geyser shooting up out of the ground. And of course it’s at a joint that I really can’t access without a lot of hands and knees work, which I’m not willing to do. Called a dood to come fix it next week.

Finished building the bench for the deck. The Ms is pleased.

I feel the same way every time I have to enter a Catholic Church.
Car is all packed for the weekend with much crap — I MEAN FINE ANTIQUES which I hope will find new homes. Especially the corner shield from a carousel. It’s worth some bux and big with sharp pieces that like to bite me. And I never told it to do that so it needs to be gone. Taking the bike for work despite possible storms just so I don’t have to fight the AND (assholes-next-door) for a parking spot.

The weary travelers got home before 4. Then we had a quick cloudburst. Supper was good. Chillage has ensued.

And I am watching a documentary about Catherine the Great as I read this. :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy birthday Johnny and Mrs. LA!

butters, when we were at the dog park this afternoon, Nelson got to play with a Benji-type dog called…you guessed it…Butters.

On the way from the dog park to pick up some supper, there was a pickup in the other left turn lane that lost a table that almost hit me. He was hauling a whole mess of the Rubbermaid type tables with folding legs without tying them down. When he rounded the corner, one went sliding off the top and almost onto the hood of my car. Y’all know, the one that cost the insurance company several thousand dollars to replace four months ago? Yeesh. Tie yer shit down people.

Hello all -

We got the keys to the new house. We’ll start moving a few things this weekend, and then we have the movers coming on Monday.

On the less fun front, Kona dog has popped his ACL. He’s 13 years or older (we adopted him as a “young adult”, and he has a bad heart. For now we’re going to treat with meds to make him comfortable and see if his knee will stabilize. He’s a super good, best boi doggo. It makes me sad to see him in pain. :frowning:

I’m looking for something non-stressful or depressing to watch on TV. Any suggestions?

Sunny yea! on the new house but a sad for Kona–hope he heals up OK.

red, glad the car remained unscathed…

ruble, good luck on the sale.

Cookie, sounds like today was a 1960’s situation comedy for you; may tomorrow be better.

FCM, glad the travelers made it home to the shore…and the pot roast.

Soccer went fine, I did my traffic cop impersonation (“Field #2? Over there. 10U practice? To the left”) and kept records of how many kids there were (probably over 150 at various times/places. Get through tomorrow (9am-3pm soccer, also help pass out uniforms, go to a referee meeting, might referee a game at 2pm or so). Such fun…

Better head off to bed if I plan to make it through the day and still have energy left to mow the lawn on Sunday. All y’all take care.

I’ll say thanks ---------- and it sets someone up for -----------

Worked. As usual, people walk in 45 seconds from closing…and linger. :smack:

That’s why it’s called be being a practicing Catholic. I gotta keep practicing till I get it right(or I get traded to the Lutherans for a hotdish recipe. :D)

{{{{Sunny}}}} And maybe Northern Exposure?

Well, this is going to be a fun day. I woke a bit after 2. Couldn’t fall back to sleep. Finally gave up and got up around 5:30. As soon as it starts to look light outside, I’ll start laundry. Rah.

I’ve also got to smoke 2 big racks of ribs today - we’ll take them to my mom’s tomorrow. And I’ve got to get some Amish corn to take also. And probably something else, but I can’t brain yet - not enough caffeine. Good times ahead.

Happy Saturday!

Up, caffeianted, and sheveled. Off to work. Double shift today.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 78 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 97 and partly cloudy (partly N.O.S.?) for the day. No biggie plans for the day for either of us. I foresee some quality cee-mint pond time. The need to feed shall be via forage. Plenty of sammich makin’s so starvation is not imminent.

Nona sorry about the fridge, but funny story about the BAR.

Sunny I said it before, but happy movin’. Better thee than me. Hope Kona is better soon, poor baby.

Flyboy when ever I am at a service where the Priest does Asperges I have the urge to fall out in the aisle and scream, IT BURNS! IT BURNS! Then again, when the bell tolls at the beginnin’ of Eucharist, it is all I can do to not yell out, “BRING OUT YOUR DEAD!”

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day. Rah.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Morning all. Will get dressed and off to soccer in about an hour, need to grab some sustenance first. Heading to 95F this afternoon. Oh joy.

All y’all have a good Sattiday.

First 2 loads are hanging out on the lines, third is in the washer, 4th is on deck. Critter fountain is clean. **FCD **is finally up and breakfasting. Roxy is breakfasting. Daughter is still abed. FIL is watching cliff diving on TV.

A real Norman Rockwell moment at FairyChatEstates!

Congrats on the keys to the new digs sunny! You obviously are better at moving than I. :stuck_out_tongue:

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, puppy crate cleaned, sheets and towels ready to go to the dryer. Today, I need to get the fancy schmancy printer out of the studio and down to the electronics recycling place. I also need to buy groceries and go purchase a new phone (mine doesn’t talk to my car very well). I may also check out the Re-Store and Goodwill for a small, square table for the corner of the studio. But first, KP and a shower.

The day took a turn for the dramatic. The cat suddenly lost interest in life and food (!) and humans, curling up in her tower for the entire day. She was so lethargic that we were getting worried about her. Only ate a little food in the morning and then nothing. I’m thinking that maybe the plastic she ate was blocking her intestine or perhaps was a bit toxic (?). To our relief, she is her perky, hungry, lovable self this morning, and is flopped in my lap as I try to type this without mistakes.

Last of the laundry is in the dryer and we’re back from the Amish farmers’ market with 'maters, corn, a 'lope, and some green beans. Ribs are in the smoker (which I had to clean - oops!)

I need a nap! <yawn> But in about 10 minutes, the dryer load will be done and all that stuff will need to be folded. No rest, no rest…

Got all our peaches canned yesterday. Thankfully, we overdid it last year with tomatoes, so don’t need to do them again this year. Also, pickles and jam will hold us for another year. The only other thing to do is to make pear sauce when the Shinseiki pears are ripe. Pretty much a PITA, as they have to be peeled, and most of them got nailed by fruit moths, so the cores will be a mess, but pear sauce is just so good with most meats. The tree produced a shit ton of fruit this year, so we’ll be giving a lot of it away.
