Yup, working. Since Christmas fell on my normal day off, I do get an additional day off during the week, but not a good day (Monday or Friday would be a GOOD day)… no, I get Thursday off. 
Yay. I think I’ll go see ‘We Bought a Zoo’ at the theater.
Here in South Korea, December 25 is the holiday. If it happens to fall on a weekend, well, that’s just tough. This year, Christmas was on a Sunday so today, December 26, is a regular weekday.
It is this year! 
Thats why I said (for me)! I’m usually a 2p- 12m shooter. 10a puts me on the tail end of the DC morning commute (though it will likely be lesser) and I DON’T LIKE IT.
Just took a call from the station, both our nightsiders called in sick, can I come in normal time (2p)?

Double time and a half for putting in a solid 8 hours today, and I’m not even union.
I guess it’s a pretty good gig.
I’m working, but it’s pretty quiet. The only call so far was from “Obama for America,” so I guess they’re working too.
I thought 12m meant twelve noon. That’s a long shift!
It’s another public holiday here today (Tuesday 27 Dec) to make up for the fact that Christmas Day fell on a Sunday.
I’m working today, but I work offshore on a 28 day schedule, holidays or no, so I’m atypical. 2 more days of work till i get to go home though! Yay!!
Well I worked and didn’t expect the trash to get picked up (Monday is my usual trash day, but they’re always a day late after the holidays) so I didn’t put the trash out. No mail, and banks are closed today so I expected the garbage guys to get the day off…
They ran their normal route today. My trash is still sitting at the side of my house.
There was nothing even remotely resembling rush hour this morning in my neck of the woods.
Yesterday at 1pm - rush hour - no. Instead I was granted the ‘everyone who was visiting friends and family to the South is heading home’ Northern Virginia I-95 traffic jams. Which is like rush hour, except with a lot more drivers from Jersey.
Which compared to Virginia drivers may not be a bad thing.

Same here! back to work tomorrow, then a 3 day weekend coming up, since January 1 falls on Sunday.
Yep. I’m working four public holidays in the same pay fortnight. I’d like to think I’ll be rolling in it, but I suspect the tax man will take a huge slice. :mad:
Worked yesterday, actually got an extra 3.5 hours. I am down to part time, so if we had been closed yesterday, would have lost another day’s pay…
I am at work today and the office is absolutely deserted. The absentee rate must be close to 90%.
I just popped out a few minutes ago to get a few bargains at the post-Christmas sales - including wrapping paper for next year, which is always dirt cheap straight after Christmas.
I worked Monday (call center). But since it’s a corporate holiday, I got a floating holiday to compensate for having to work. So I took off a day last week, and it’ll all even out in the end.
And no complaints, Monday was super-dead. I almost finished a super-long scarf, and probably would have finished it if I hadn’t gotten bored and gone on the internet instead.
Me too. In my case I got 8 hours of holiday at my regular rate and the hours I worked yesterday wore all at time and a half. As near as I can tell my dept was the only one at our location working (other than security) and it was also dead.
