Who is working tomorrow (Monday)?

I’d rather not work on Boxing Day - but I have a suite of doctors’ offices to paint while they’re closed up between now and New Year’s. Three offices, five patient rooms and all the hallways. So it will take most of the week. Luckily my helper is up for working with me all week.

Who else is working? Who’s going to do something fun instead?

Not I! Boxing Day is alive and well here.

Early shift (for me) 10a - 6p. Hopefully a quiet news day.

Nah, that’s not early; I’m still working in retail, and we open at 7a. Not expecting a quiet day.

I’m working tomorrow, but it’s by choice. Same for New Year’s next Monday.

I’m off tomorrow, but brought work home that I may or may not do. I think I may go to a museum instead.

It’s Boxing Day here today, and thus a public holiday.

You call that early? Hubby has to be at briefing at 4:45 am, ahead of a 12-hour day. But that’s life in the exciting field of law enforcement. Normally, I’d also be working tomorrow, too, since hotels stay open all the time, but I’m “between jobs” right now…

Same here.

and…New Year’s day is Sunday, by the way…

I’m on call, but not going in. I’ll work from home if I need to.

I work every day if it’s not a weekend, there are no holidays.

Indeed. Public Holiday penalty rates for me.

No one in my family has to work tomorrow, but it has nothing to do with Boxing Day. It’s just that Christmas fell on a Sunday. The idea is that you work only a certain number of days a year, and Christmas is always scheduled as giving you a day off. So if Christmas occurs on a day you normally wouldn’t be working, you have to get another day off.

Even though my company is calling it a holiday, I will be working. I have a deadline that won’t be met unless I put in some serious time.

Mandatory working day. My usual day off, but I have to work.

I will be seeing a couple of patients who have services ordered to be done on 12/26. No biggie, I will still be able to get some half-off Christmas shopping done!

Working here my usual shift after - thank you work and South Korean customs - the entire weekend off, as normal .

Yes I’m not entirely happy to be working Boxing Day, but it’s more to do with needing some rest after a busy weekend rather than wanting to stick with UK traditions. When in Rome and all that…

A regular day for me. I’m a baker, and the cafe, located in the library, will be open after the library being closed Sat and Sun.

I’m working, but Boxing Day isn’t a holiday in the U.S.

I’m working:(, rather be in bed.
