Not that this thread had anything to do with it, but I stopped on the way home and got sushi for supper.

Yeah, I was lucky, but this is why I love our credit union. They’re very nice, very flexible, and always happy to make suggestions that actually work. They’ve explained my mistakes so I don’t do them again, and for that, I’m eternally grateful.
sunny, once your name is changed, can we still call you sunny?
I took out the trash this evening, paid bills and have a load of towels in the dryer. Supper was a poke chop, basmati rice and sauteed zucchini, onions and baby portabellas. :BURP:
Look, look, look!!! Sunny Daze it is!!!
With thanks to Ruble for the suggestion.
Well, I hope you still call me Sunny. That’s my name, innit?
I hereby predict no one else other than the MMP will actually notice.
One small step for, er, me. Actually, what is the protocol - am I supposed to announce it?
Got the kids registered for school today. Great Scott. What a lot of paperirk that is. Almost every page asks for the some information too. (Name, birthdate, address, native language.) Why can’t any of this be automated? Then they asked me what track I wanted my daughter on. The first one they suggested was Home Ec. I about fell over. Not that she (and my son for that matter) doesn’t need to know how to cook a few meals, clean, do laundry, etc, but to suggest it as her main track in Middle School? I had no idea that was still a thing anywhere. We picked something else.
cooking/cleaning/etc is what you get to teach them, Sunny.
I was in junior high in the 70s, and we had one boy in our home ec class. It caused a stir, let me tell you
Today, he’s a well respected chef, although he’s never been on the Food Network - he doesn’t like the spotlight
Rockin, I love my Credit Union too, have never had anything but positive experiences with them.
Work is done for the day on the house, finally could go out and bought a few groceries and a half dozen air-duct filters. Old MacDonald provided a light repast, and all I have to do is remember to put the garbage out tomorrow morning.
If it wasn’t for the health issues we had plans for it, believe me. Since March. But we will be coming east October 8th.
I would post pictures but
a) I don’t have a place to store them and I don’t know how to
b) Swampy would faint
Because the cure in part is squeezing some of the blood and fluid from the “lump” via light compression my arm from below the elbow to around the shoulder is the most AMAZING collection of colors. It is to bruises what Tinkerbell’s wand was to the wonderful world of color.
I kid you not when I say I’ve had serious fractures that didn’t look this bad. The cool thing is it really doesn’t hurt very much. My macho-rating at work is through the roof looking like this and not slowing my pace. With everyone but our paramedic; she just looks and grins back.
<bows deeply> My pleasure to assist.
Actually it sprung to mind because back in the 70s and early 80s there was a bar just outside McKeesport by the Bettis Atomic Plant called Sunny Daze. Cheap drinks and some of the best garage bands in the Mon Valley. I just added the present tense because ---- I like the present tense of most things.
I worked. I came home. I walked the dog.
Sunny, a MMP nickname the same as your Board name? That’s crazy talk!
Glad the Credit Union helped you out, Rockin’
Ruble,
I love TMI photos.
Had to work an extra hour cause I am too nice. Looks like storm tracks have changed dammit. I need a storm.
My clerk in hospital had stents placed as she is not a good candidate for open heart surgery which she apparently needs. Adding nitro to her regimen. Bless her heart in a good way. She said she was awake the whole time and it hurt pretty bad.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.
The heat returneth… or it’s about to. I closed the house and turned on the air before I left because it was feeling muggy. I don’t know how long **FCD **is going to sleep, but I didn’t want him to get all hot and sweaty while trying to get some rest - poor baby.
I, on the other hand, woke around 3 and couldn’t fall back to sleep because life is unfair!! With luck, the day will fly by. C’mon Firday!!!
Happy Thursday. yeah. happy.
Sorry about the tomato allergy, sa-person-with-the-too-long-name
I think we should rename Sunny to Moony. Just to confuse things. Is there a shorter way to say “just to confuse things”?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and partly cloudy with a little breeze blowin’ and a predicted high of 95 and partly cloudy for the day. Eventually I shall motivate to go out and commence yahd irk. I can get it all done this mornin’ if’n I motivate.
Nava we could say “mump it up” in place of “just to confuse things.”
Sunny yay for name change!
OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. And then, alas, yahd irk must commence!
Happy Thursday Y’all!
BLUR. Going into irk a little later since I gotta stay til 1800 or later.
blurf
Yeah for** sunny** Love the new name.
In weather news it rained last night, should rain again today, and is muggier than all get out. Went out to dinner last night and had the best rotisserie chicken and have leftovers for tonight. Go me! But going out to a retirement pahr-tay after irk with heavy horse d’overs.
I found out that my new horse (Ariel aka Miss A.) has the same grandsire as my beloved Bob! Yet another sign this was meant to be (and I don’t believe in that stuff). Now I haz Ursala (kitteh) and Ariel. My friend says now I need a plastic lobster named Sebastian. This is from the movie Little Mermaid, so I am told. Two weeks ago at the county flea market I saw a big tub of plastic lobsters! Guess where I’m going next weekend ???
Sebastian was actually a crab, but whatevs. ![]()
We are at condition of readiness (COR) 4 instead of the usual 5. The computer models have the still unnamed Hermine crossing the Keys or at least most of them do.
Fairy Chat would never stand for it. :dubious:
