Wally or Arnie or Ike?
They’re three guys I certainly like . . .
Wally’s a sport and he makes my heart race;
Arnie’s as funny as Joan Rivers’ face—
But Ike has my address and always packs mace!
Which one do I vote for; which two do I spike?
Wally or Arnie
Wally or Arnie
Wally or Arnie or Ike?
Oh, yes. The old “make-the-ladies-think-you-might-be-gay-but-you-might-not-and-a-special-woman-like-her-might-be-just-the-ticket-to-bring-out-my-studliness”.
Works every time.
Err…so I hear.
“O, how bitter a thing it is to look into
happiness through another man’s eyes!”
–As You Like It, Act V, Scene ii
I’m pulling a JohnLarrigan and voting multiple times. Soulsling gets a vote for the tireless work in the Prom Queen race, and for voting for me. JohnLarrigan gets a vote, because I ripped off his voting method, and also because he, too, is the coolest kid on the block. And Dry gets half a vote, simply because he quotes so much Shakespeare. Yea, I know, it’s via Barrlett’s, but it doesn’t matter. Quoting Billy S. is quoting Billy S.
Actually, it’s not all via Bartlett’s. Some plays (all the English history plays, as well as Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Othello, Romeo and Juliet), I know pretty well. And I don’t look them up via Bartlett’s but online.
A very good source for Shakespeare’s text’s can be found at http://tech-two.mit.edu/Shakespeare
But the romances and some of the more obscure non histories (Love’s Labor Lost, Cymebeline)…yeah, it’s Bartlett’s. (I’m starting to run out of Bartlett’s quotes, by the way)
I’d quote from the Lion in Winter more often, but my VCR is on the fritz , and I don’t have my copy of the screenplay at work, which is where I often post.
Thanks for the half vote :), even if Slythe didn’t count it!
