Who will be Trump's running mate? (J. D. Vance Has Been Chosen)

Damn that’s some small dick energy right there.

Wonder-ful!

That’s a rally? I would’ve thought it was a press event in a private business, no public allowed.

If I was getting dozens of people showing up I’d “only” do private events, too.

Meanwhile, Harris and Walz were just across town that same day and 12,000 showed up.

To be fair, I’m not sure what a VP crowd should look like. While I don’t expect Palin sizes, this just seems pathetic.

About what I figured.

On a totally shallow point, look up what Vance looks like without his beard. It’s astonishing how babyfaced he is.

He looks like Teddy Ruxpin. I suspect there’s a cassette in the back.
Or it’s an updated wifi edition.

We can tell our grandkids this was Trump’s VP.

A pic showing the difference:

Politico has an entire article about the fact that Vance wears a beard, and insists that it’s significant. Their two main points seem to be that it’s important for Vance to appear “rugged” and more masculine to voters, and it’s also a sign of the voting power of Millennials and younger people who don’t share the stigma of facial hair that older generations did.

Even the New York Times noted that he’s the first major nominee to have facial hair in 75 years.

He’s also quite anxious to debate. Tim Walz? No, silly. Debate Kamala Harris, of course!

Probably not. But Republican voters might be convinced that she would.

That’s not a rally - that’s a campaign stop at a manufacturing facility. Those type of events aren’t typically open to the public, and if they are, it’s really limited. These happen all the time.

Vance has been Downfalled!

This made my day!
Hilarious.
Haven’t seen a good Downfall in a long time and this was pure gold.

You’re correct. After reading up JDs schedule, he’ll be following Harris around and only doing press type events (ie, not rallies) in the near future.

Not sure if that’s due to the reality of not being able to draw a crowd or what.

Trump does not have any events planned in the near future (weeks). He just added the one Montana one last moment. Just seems odd.

Well, that’s new. /s

Seems “weird” to me. Stay on message people.

They are fully confident that their plan of having GOP officials dispute the election in all non-blue states will win the day for Trump. His handlers and major donors don’t care if his popular vote take is a small percentage of the Harris popular vote—they’ll succeed in throwing the vote to the House, where all that matters is the number of red states (not the number of Reps).

Trump, of course, will be bothered by losing the popular vote in a landslide. But he’ll have been made President by the planned shenanigans, so he’ll be able to prevent anyone from ever mentioning it in public. (A few public hangings of newscasters who forget should be sufficient.)
And in Trump’s mind, his low numbers will become “J.D.'s fault” and he will be at his ease again.

.
.

Well, George W. Bush accepted that role. Why shouldn’t Ivanka?

If Donald died (in a way that couldn’t be dealt with in Bernie fashion), MAGA voters would be so emotionally devastated that they probably wouldn’t accept any candidate other than Ivanka. Even if 42 and no longer hawt enough for him, he still puts her above his other spawn. And his fans know it.

She’d be happy to be the ultimate fashion influencer while Heritage Foundation honchos ruled in her name. And why not have a hereditary monarchy? The figureheads (Ivanka and then presumably her children and their children) keep the populace distracted from what’s actually going on: what’s not to like?

They could even give JD Vance some kind of job. For example, he could assist in the redecoration of Ivanka’s White House by testing out the furniture.

(My bold)

Others have said similarly, but I definitely think that the assassination attempt has freaked Trump out. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s developed some sort of phobia of crowds, whereas before he never conceived that going into a huge gathering would put him in danger.

It’s also possible that he, or his campaign, has been advised to ramp up his security, and Trump is a skinflint. This might mean that there isn’t enough security for even his VP (who is the only one flying around the country to make stops) to host big rallies.

Then again, as I look it up, Trump has left home to campaign in Montana tonight. It’s billed as a “rally” at Montana State University’s Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. So he’s willing to brave some degree of public exposure, albeit at an indoor venue.

And, in support of the claim that he doesn’t like to pay his bills, and how it might limit his own rallies, there’s this news, which welcomes Trump to Montana.

trump has left towns all over America for unpaid police overtime, etc bills for protecting him- which he- in his usual can-man ways- wont pay. I suspect Vance cant & wont either.

It is getting so many cities and towns wont host his rallies.
