I may be able to finally make a Dopefest; I’ll have to talk with the better half about what are plans are for that weekend, but I should be able to make July 3.

What should we bring?
Bring your baseball gear. We’ll throw the ol’ pill around.
Sometimes, I think the Board has an “ignore Cerowyn” default option, 'cause I swear, people miss 99% of my posts. 
Anyway, Hanlan’s Point is the eastern-most part of the Toronto Islands. There’s an 11:15 ferry ($6.00) from Queen’s Quay that will get us there about 11:30ish.
People who have come out for previous events will recognize me, but anyone who’s meeting us there might want to take a boo at Eonwe’s pix (linked above) so that they know who I am. As well, email me to get my cell phone number in case there’s a delay anywhere.
In case of bad weather, we will need an alternate venue (probably an hour or so later, too). Any suggestions?
I am presuming that Eonwe, matt_mcl , scott_evil and anyone else considering making the trek to T.O. will appreciate a place to stay? matt_mcl, you might prefer to take Eats_Crayons up on her offer, since she lives downtown, but my place is available since I have the house to myself that weekend. Dr_Paprika and perhaps Treviathan will be there as well, so it’s shaping up well!

Any of you planning on going and/or getting a ride with yours truly? I promise not to make you ride in the trunk like andygirl had to the last time.

Oh, goody, this is shaping up nicely! Matt_Mcl can stay with me. As long as he doesn’t mind Fatcat and Littlecat. Added bonus – my place is actually tidy :eek: a rare occurence. I have a new “friend” visiting me for Pride weekend, so I have the place looking pretty spiffy.
I’m sorry I can’t come, I will be out of town from July 1st, maybe next time or if another get together happens later in the summer or next year again.

The main gathering is on Saturday at Hanlan’s Point (or a place-to-be-named in case of bad weather). There will be food and beverages served at my place on Friday for those who wish to make the trek to Brampton ('specially those who are staying there!).
With regard to supplies, we have:[ul][li]Hotdogs, hamburgers & lamb (me)[]Buns (me)[]Plastic cutlery and disposable plates (Dr_Paprika, making an executive decision)[*]Beverages (my company; they might be kicking in for both comestibles and beverages, as most of our tiny Toronto office will be attending as well)[/ul]So, fruit, veggies, chips and salads would be welcome, and shouldn’t be a problem if there are duplicates. Anyone who wants to contribute can bring one of those without confirmation, but no-one should feel compelled to bring anything. I’m sure we’ll do quite well. :)[/li]

Oo! I know! I’ll bring one of those baked bean dishes that turn up a pot-lucks and picnics accross North America – you know, the kind that’s you expect to see at gatherings where there’s potato salad and jellow with marshmallows suspended in it!
Cool. So, I guess I’ll be heading up with Matt on Friday. I’ll need new directions to your place, Cerowyn, and I guess maybe to Charmia…er, I mean Eats_Crayons’ place too, if that’s where Matt’s staying.

Okay, the news I know everyone’s been waiting for - methinks I can make it.
However, I still could use someone to lead me by the hand from the Greyhound bus station out to Hanlan’s point on Saturday. And if anyone has a floor, countertop, or bathtub where I could sleep (Cerowyn, is your offer still good?), I promise all my love for at least twenty years.
And I’d love to toss the baseball around with RickJay but I don’t have a glove. Anyone have one I can borrow? I’ll bring a frisbee in exchange.

I went and got a permit today, so that we can use a barbecue pit. We have lot #113, which is the farthest from the ferry (the price you pay for waiting until the last minute to get a permit).
Hey, Treviathan, I could meet you at the bus station around 10:30 Saturday; we apparently need to be on the 11:15 ferry, and there’ll probably be a lineup at the ticket booth.
Unfortunately I need to meet a client at 3:30 in the afternoon (had to reschedule from before, so I can’t reschedule again) , so I am going to have to return to the ferry around 2PM.
