I’m not allergic, but too much will make me pass out, or worse. This is why I order naturally decaf drinks if I don’t personally know the barista.
Having worked in various service jobs, I am able to empathize with your frustrations, even anger. However, it is your choice to allow the rude, inconsiderate, and unpleasant patrons to get your goat, to put it mildly. I would suggest a change of employment, the stress is not healthy for you. Taking into consideration the holiday season things are bound to become worse as people stress themselves with the shopping, decorating, family dynamics, etc. I would think that you would be doing yourself a favor by finding alternate employment, particularly of the type where you needn’t have to deal with the public.
I do hope that you have exaggerated your revenge incidents, they are neither mature, creative, and some are downright illegal.
I’m wondering why you would think you’d get support for adulterating the beverages of unwitting consumers with substances that they specifically asked you not to put in them, probably for some very good reasons. It’s no different than strapping them down and injecting them with the stuff. You’re taking away their right to avoid things that can damage them without even giving them a chance to get out of the trap.

(b) you put caffeine into people’s drinks simply to indulge your fragile ego.
(c) anyone who would inflict harm upon her for the sheer reason that they have parlayed their two bachelors degrees into a barista position gets no quarter from me.
You should reassess. You obviously have some problems and should address them before you hurt someone or yourself.
Anaamika - it is not any more violent seeing as my mother is deathly allergic to caffeine. As in she could die. If this jerk put caffeine in her drink, this is not remote. And for the record, my reply is not a direct threat - merely a (remote) speculation of what I would do were my mother to suffer at the hands of this predator.

I think if any of us had a loved one die because a pissed off coffee-shop worker deliberately screwed up their order and gave them something they were severely allergic to, the temptation to seek a violent gory revenge would be pretty strong.
I’m sure most of us would let the law handle it, though.

Look, I’m going to let the cat out of the bag right here - the whole OP was hyperbole, an airing of frustration at our infuriating customers. I think the worst “revenge type” thing I’ve done to someone’s coffee is using milk that’s been sitting around a while at room temperature, and that’s only because hew as a major dickhead and I wanted him to have a mediocre drink.
I thought more peopel would see the humor in this and commiserate, but I guess I was wrong.

Ah no - I wasn’t trying to elicit an apology - simply defending myself. I have no issue with you taking my comments in one way or the other. The truth is: (a) the OP is listed as being from Chicago - I’m a long way from there and so is my mother; (b) this may very well be a joke/troll post. Fine.
But here’s the thing - if it ISN’T a joke, then I would like it realized that these actions are not justified. Perhaps I did react extremely and personally. But I believe that was justified. Why? Because innocent people, even if they do talk on the cell phone at the coffee counter, might die.

Jesus, it was supposed to be FUNNY, not make people angry. Trolling would be intentionally trying to piss people off, not make them laugh and cheer in agreement.
