This country is probably a lot more “moral” now than it was when it was no big deal to let children work 14 hours a day, when it was okay to keep humans as slaves, when men beating up their wives was viewed as a private disagreement and not worthy of police intervention. I’d like to know how it can be immoral for doctors to provide abortions but moral for them (the outraged clinic bombers) to kill people.
And I guess I must be reading the wrong papers or have a selective memory; I don’t really recall any stories about “empty” clinics being bombed. I only remember the stories about receptionists and GYN exam patients and other persons who are completely uninvolved in abortions being killed when one of those bombers concerned with “innocent lives” murders them.

Wildest Bill is most certainly a Christian, he is just more up to date then the rest of you. Have you not heard of the Secret Gospel of Mark? This version, uncovered with the discovery of an ancient letter from Clement of Alexandria, changes our understanding of what it means to be Christian in a fundamental[pun intented] way. I believe WB has an exceptional grasp of these subtleties.

I was going to reply with a cocky self humiliating answer like “me”. But I don’t think I will because I am more than just skindeep. Obviously me and you are different with hopes, dreams and visions about the world we live in. You would get say a more liberal minded chick and I would get a more conservative minded one. To each his own. But mine would also have a nice body.
This does then assume that everyone on death row is guilty, doesn’t it? Correct me if I’m wrong here, but I recall hearing once or twice that not everyone who falls victim to capital punishment actually committed to crimes ascribed to them.
It seems rather simplified to me, by the way, to ascribe one set of thoughts to a group of people rabid enough to go bombing abortion clinics. Surely there is room for some diversity? After all, serial/mass murderers don’t all think exactly the same.

I doubt that you have a better body than me, Bill, since we are both hardcore weightlifters. Having hard muscles and low body fat is all well and good, but it’s meaningless unless you have intelligence, compassion, generosity, and empathy for others.

Agreed. And I think I have alot of those qualities but maybe they don’t show up to well on the way I present myself on this message board.
It’s funny in the real world and other boards I am member of people usually say I have a fun personality and like to be around me. Heck, even some people actually find me funny. I guess different strokes for different folks huh?

As I have said in my Pit thread, I find the peace protesters disgusting, but they are allowed to say what they like, and I would be the first to defend them against official repression, no matter how daffy I find their cause to be.
It’s neither illegal nor immoral to be a communist in the U.S. or to believe in the communist philosophy. It is either, or both, to defend people who bomb clinics or kill doctors who perform procedures some people don’t like; to call persons racist names; to ascribe sweeping negative generalizations to entire nations of people based on the actions of a very small minority; to acquire controlled drugs for purposes other than that for which they were intended . . . I could go on and on.
Bill, if you don’t like how you can’t buy your fat-burning drugs here in the U.S., then why don’t you move to some other country that allows you to do so? If you are so against abortion, then why don’t you move to a country that doesn’t allow it? If you don’t like following the laws of this country or you think it is so morally decadent that you can rationalize how clinic bombers murder innocent people just to get someone to listen to them, then why in the Hell don’t you get out of our country and move to one of those countries that you must find so wonderful?
