Will Smith and Adolf Hitler

Jawohl, Herr Doktor. In fact, I giggled maniacally about it for almost a minute.

Yes

Yes. In fact it seems more like a cliche headline than something clever, because the reference is so very obvious.

Good Lord, yes!

Yes.

Yes, though I’d have to look up what exactly what The Triumph of the Will was, i just remembered it was related to the Nazis.

Yes.

Ja

Yep.

A better title would have been:

Will Smith Does Nazi Anything Wrong With His Statement.

Yes, I got it, and I think it’s pretty witty.

Leni Riefenstahl

Yes, immediately.

I don’t get why magazines and news media are still harping on this. Will Smith did not praise Hitler. His entire quote, in context, was just him saying that he felt everyone was basically a “good” person. In the case of Hitler, he felt that Hitler probably didn’t consider himself evil.

In essence, the Anti-Def League and a lot of others have been pitting Will for having the same basic belief in humanity that Anne Frank is celebrated for.

Moving thread from IMHO to Cafe Society.

Yes.

Yes

I got it, but apparently the wrong way. I thought it was a Nietzsche reference.

Nope.

Nope.
