In other news: Blurf and bleargh. Too much too do, too hot to care, as the somewhat erratic thermostat won’t respond to anything and has been blowing just air long enough to put the place at 90 degrees. Usually I can fiddle with it, but it’s one of those cases where it doesn’t even respond to turning OFF. I know the freon’s fine, it’s the thermostat. It’ll sort itself out. Will refrain from percussive therapy.

I played with clay for a while - I threw 6 assorted things. Actually, I’d thrown 8, but 2 crashed and had to be redone. Anyway, everything’s drying a bit before I have to trim the bases. Once I cleaned my mess up, I got in the shower, and I feel clean and comfy.
**FCD **had ordered some plants for the aquarium sump - they filter certain impurities from the water, but if we put them in the main tank, the fish would eat them. They arrived today via Priority Mail, in a box that said “Protect From Heat” in big letters, left in our mailbox in the sun in the 97° afternoon. Idiots!! I don’t know how long they were out there, but I’ve got the bags floating in the sump so they can come to temperature before I put them in the 80° water. Hope they didn’t sustain any damage.
I think tonight might just be a pizza night. I’ve got a freebie coming to me from PapaJohn’s, so why not? It’s too hot to cook. Plus I’ll have leftovers for breakfast. Yep, I think that’s the plan.
I had $2 of ebay bucks, so I spent $60 on things from Japan ($20 of that is shipping). That makes sense, right?

Hi everyone! Didn’t get too much done today, but not as irky as it could have been.

My brother and my 13-year-old nephew watch stufff with CC on all the time. Not sure why.
Am making these yummy roasted potatoes. Hoping they’ll tun out well. Am having them with some drained yogurt that I’ve added NOH and a scallion to. We’ll see if they taste like the ones my roommates used to make in Berlin.
