Not done much today. Irking, fixed the vacuum, and order some subs for lunch/dinner.

I told Sah-son about the puppy today. He shocked me by bursting into tears. However, we talked and he is coming around to it.
I get it, he doesn’t want to go through losing another pet.
Yay for finally getting the tablet FCM.
I have two tablets, one ipad, and a kindle and none of them get used anymore.
I got the first one years ago and used it a lot until I got a laptop. The second one was free with 2 year contract ($10/month) and Sah-son used it a lot when we went to the armpit more often. I won the kindle and the ipad through contests at irk. I just pulled the kindle out because I ordered some books from amazon and some of them won’t download to my phone or the laptop. Weird, because some will. The ipad? I know how to turn it on. I know two people who want one so I may end up giving it to one of them.
Blurf. I have been binge watching Downton Abbey. I am on season 3 of 6. I highly recommend it. I love period drama and British anything.
I just bought a plane ticket and rented a car for a trip to Jawja at Thanksgiving to visit my family. I will see them all except one sister who lives in SC. She winters in middle Fla so I will make a point to see her in the Jan/Feb timeframe.
Mooommm. You can take a break from hair making. I don’t need it until Oct. i can never repay your kindness and am even getting excited about the event because of your contribution.

**Butters **- I want to get it done and to you right away so I can be done with it. I’ve got bags of yarn from AARP and the big batch Sunny sent and I don’t want to start afghaning with them till I’m done with the wigs. I’m hoping to send it all to you next month.
We’re just back from Fredburg. **FCD **got the saw he wanted but the cashier had just left for lunch and the manager couldn’t leave the register to load it in our trailer (it’s almost 200KG, so not something we could just haul out.) So we wandered around looking at other stuff in the store and wound up getting a ramp so **FCD **can put his motorcycle in the shed. Not only was the ramp on sale, but since we had to wait for our other purchase, the manager gave us an additional discount, so we ended up saving over $30! And we weren’t even miffed about having to wait. Stuff happens, you know.
It was weird driving to F’burg - we lived in that area from '97-2000, and we drove past our old house. So much has changed! It was a fairly nice way to pass a few hours.
But I’m glad to be home. The truck isn’t the most comfortable means of transport.
Actually, I got in Saturday in the afternoon, but really didn’t feel like posting (or doing much of anything). Got caught up on my bills and did my grocery shopping today so I am beginning to resume a normal life (whatever that is).
As for the trip, it was great, seven countries visited (and I have the spare change to prove it), eight plane trips, three train rides, about 700 miles by bus, one cruise ship, one ferry (Copenhagen to Oslo overnight) and one fjord cruise that everybody in the world should have to take, it was that good. Hotel rooms ranged from deluxe to…not deluxe, but the hot water worked and the beds were clean, so no issues.

Now to list all the things I need to do on Moanday (It’s a pretty good list).

Roomie’s brother came to the apartment and I sent him to the hospital to look after Roomie. They’re both home now, and the hospital didn’t find out anything bad, but Roomie is still feeling sick.
MetalMouse. Thank goodness you are back safe and sound. I also look forward to photos and a complete account of all your destinations. One question though- do they have internet over there yet?
In keeping with with my new desire to be an early riser I was abed by 10PM last eve and awoke at 0330. I stayed up until a power nap from 430-545PM. I know. :smack::smack: We had sketties as it is quick and easy plus I have lunch for tomorrow.
Mooooomm how can I ever repay you? The pottery ashtrays are now additional spoon rests. I am 2 1/2 month quit as of yesterday. Hubs told me he is so glad I quit but one has not totally quit smoking until one stops counting. I call BS. It is the hardest thing I have ever done to date. If there are any youngsters reading take this advice; don’t ever start. It is NOT cool and it’s expensive and will ruin your health.
Cute puppy Sari. I shall hope to get a better look once I am on my laptop in the early AM. Those were happy tears from your Sonny Boy. I lastest five weeks upon the demise of my last boy Poncho. He was a rat terrier mix at about 20 pounds. Your were a good boy Ponchitomon.
Here is hoping for a happy, safe and drama free irk week for all. Same for you lucky souls that are retired. I ordered us a TENS unit today in the hope it will work on gimpy knees and hubs neck/back. And experience greatly appreciated.

Congrats on giving up smoking. I get so sad when I see young people start the habit.
It’s always so weird to me too. Both of my parents smoked when I was a kid and I hated it, as did the HFH. I never smoked, but she does. Both of my nieces hated it that their parents smoke, and both of them smoke. My friends daughter used to bitch about my friend smoking, and then she started smoking.
I never understood it, why would you start something that you hate?
I also don’t understand why someone who hates smoking would start. I had a friend in high school who once complained that her parents and siblings smoked, *and *she had asthma - and then she started smoking in high school. Though I believe that she’s quit now that she has kids.
Went to the store tonight and got Roomie some ginger ale and anti-nausea chews.
I had a Booster Club board meeting. Dinner tonight is chipolte jack cheeseburgers with pico de gallo, and corn on the cob with blue cheese jalapeno butter. Having coffee ice creme for desert, since it’s National Ice Cream Day.
