I had a student with your name and she pronounced it Kah-DEE-zuh with the z sound almost a cross between a j sound and a z sound. Don’t know if that is an authentic pronunciation, but that’s how she said it.

Ah-THEAL (rhymes with deal)
My name is pronounced “Busta Chee Chee Trike Whore.”
Or, “sur VY ə see.” You choose.

Wow, many have surprised me, but for some reason, I have been reading your name as PussyCat not Psi Cat.
Loach, just to verify, I always assumed your name rhymes with coach. Is that correct? I think that is what you meant in your post.
yes
Mine rhymes with Atari. At least in my head - a lot of folks say AY-vuh-ree, like the name Avery. I got it from a book when I was 16, and have been meaning to change it for a while.
“OR-zuh-ball”. I mentally distinguish my handle from the real Roland, who pronounces his name with the last syllable matching the first syllable of “balance”. Feel free to use either; I promise I won’t be offended.

I thought the real Roland pronounced it “Orthabl”.
A Darkness At Sethanon?

I pronounce it Kai mare uh most of the time, sometimes Chih mare uh, which is how I pronounced it years ago.
I’ve heard Shimmer uh, Chime Raw and CHIME -er-Ah.
Emily Rose

mlerose, I would never have even tried to pronounce yours, or guessed the pronounciation. That’s a neat spelling.

Oh man, I’ve been calling you Kie - thee - reeah, rhyming with cafeteria, all this time. Does it have a meaning?
This is almost like having to re-arrange your mental picture of people when you meet them for the first time. Great idea for a thread, though…
