The trailer came out today. Looks pretty good, and I quite liked the first movie, so I’m looking forward to this one.
I also liked the first movie - until the CGI bash-fest towards the end.
This trailer? I dunno. It seems kind of incoherent, and it’s not interesting me at all in the movie. Then I remember that the Suicide Squad trailers made me really look forward to the movie…
I’m hoping it’s just a bad trailer, or just bad to me. I’d really like it to be a good movie.
Trailer is mainly just action scenes, no idea what the plot is supposed to be. I’ll see it because the first one was good (excepting the messy ending) and my wife will want to see it but this trailer can’t be doing it justice.
Also, poor 1984-era Wonder Woman couldn’t afford a bottle of Vidal Sassoon and a perm? Lame.
The music is terrible.
…Blue Monday by New Order is freaking inspired. I thought it was brilliant.
if i remember in 1984 she was still in the airforce in the comic book (the cartoon at the time even references this because she had to go “check-in” on the anti darkseid satellite they were making and when cyborg saw how she dressed for it he didn’t believe it was the same person)
wow that will be a boost for bernie and the crew …
I’m with Banquet Bear and nightshadea. The music was perfect; it was pretty much how 1984 sounded. I was there, in person!
agreed -
I have questions - I assume they’ll be answered -
Who is the blond (acrtress as well as char)?
Whats with the armor’d bit near the end?
I’ve not been real impressed with any of the DC movies - but I am (again) looking forward to this one.
The blond actress would be Kristin Wiig, I’m pretty sure, playing Barbara Minerva / Cheetah. I’m not real up on DC lore, but it looks like she’ll start as Diana’s friend, and then turn into a nemesis. Probably having something to do with whatever Max Lord is doing. Wish fulfillment going all Monkey’s Paw?
You have got to be Fucking kidding me.
OK, Boomer
or
OK, Millennial
as the case may be.
Not even Chris Pine can make a moonbag look cool. But glad he’s back, I like him.
Overall, looks good.
Love the 80’s aesthetic including, yes, the music. The villain seems really fun as well. I liked the last one but I think this will be better.
I’m selfishly excited about the film because of the mall!
They filmed the mall scenes here near my home in Virginia - it was my go to mall for years. Then it turned into the ghost mall
Fantastic music. It brings a complete 80s feel to it. Very excited!
It sounds “modernized”. Like a new wave version of a new wave song.
How does it feel…
I liked how they synched up the beats with the action.
Also, was it just me, or Wiig being Wiig, or was there a slight sapphic overtone to the way she said “A bunch of times” and looked off to the side, when asked if she’d ever been in love.
I started the 80s in HS, and I also think the music was terrible. But I thought it was terrible back in the 80s too. Not my style nor taste, but to the movie’s credit, very 80s.
It uses actual horns and strings rather than synthesizers.
