I liked the first movie and I’ll see this one but… look, I’m sorry, Gal Gadot is a beautiful woman who looks the part, but she can’t act for shit.
I was in downtown DC last summer for a meeting that ended around lunch time. I decided to go to The Mall before heading home, the Hirshhorn in particular since I hadn’t been in years.
Turns out it was closed because they were filming WW84 there that day. They show some of the scene at the end of the trailer (Steve looking at the trash can thinking it may be “modern” art). I didn’t see Gal Gadot, but the boxy 80’s OldsmolBuicks they had parked out in front brought back memories of when I drove my father’s Delta 88 back in high school during the 80’s.
In the first film, when Steve says goodbye before his suicide run, he makes a big deal out of giving Diana his watch and says something cryptic about time. I was convinced it would resurrect him or preserve him in a frozen moment of time.
The more I think about the first movie, the more irresistible it becomes to mentally rewrite it so it makes some kind of sense.
It does look interesting and we finally get to see a full furry Cheetah. I want to see it, but it could be great or it could be terrible.
What I saw at 39 seconds cracked me up; thanks!
