Now that we have a home computer (thanks to the generosity of a Doper couple, with monitor thanks to the generosity of another Doper), we’ve signed my beloved wife Barb up for separate accounts – e-mail, this board, and such.
We’ve been married for 28 years (come this next April); she just took her B.A. in 1996 with a concentration in paleoanthropology, and is an avid collector of stamps, with an interest in Scandinavia (philatelically and in general), and a wide background of what our boys refer to as “useless information” on a wide number of topics.
Quite a few Dopers already know her from various Dopefests in Raleigh, Norfolk, and at RTFirefly and Jonathan Chance’s parties.
Do not, however, believe the stuff she says about what I’m really like!
Welcome. The SDMB would simply erode and fall apart with fresh infusions of useless information, and I am pleased that entropy continues to be thus refuted.
Well there’s an interesting slip. I meant to type “long”, but I think my brain and my fingers fought for a second because it also makes sense if you just add an R to “you” and keep the love there.
Having had the priviledge of chatting with you a lot in the past month, I am pleased to know that you will be with us in more than spirit. You are a dollface, and you are a VERY welcome member of this community.
