Since you have said that you are in my country illegally, here is your chance to tell your side of the story. Why are you here? Why do you stay? You aren’t wanted but I think some of the groups formed to keep you here have convinced you that you are somehow wanted. You are not. It was thanks to Reagan that I had a chance to become a legal resident, of course the big picture reminds me that I would not be in the USA unless Reagan and others had not helped the military thugs in El Salvador to kill mostly priests, teachers, students and labor leaders in El Salvador. My family had connection to the martyred ArchBishop Romero so my family had to leave the old country.

If it wasn’t for all the people that death squads and the military killed then this would be funny: it was thanks to very conservative people, that usually never bothered to check if it was a good idea to support extreme neo-fascists in Latin America, that I became a resident back in the 80’s and then eventually a citizen of the USA.

Thanks to my experiences I have found out that many of the ones that are on the very conservative side, supporting the reckless use of force in other countries, are also the same ones that are nativists or racists too.

What it is encouraging is that I can see here that many SDMB conservatives like XT, Shodan, watchwolf49, and even **Scylla **are noticing how poisonous Trump and his supporters are to the Republicans. Of course, I have to tell you guys that me and many on the left side of things did warn you many times before about what the reliance and the constant “looking away” from what the nativists, racists and deniers of science were doing to the GOP was going to lead.

That is one reason why we are now in this situation. By not looking carefully or by not constantly telling in no uncertain terms to the fringe that they were not welcomed in the party is that we are looking at the abyss now, it is fortunate that the polls and history is telling us that Trump is not likely to win, but the supporters of Trump are keeping his lead longer than it was supposed to be, meaning that it will hurt the GOP a lot before his run is over.

Fine with me, but really guys, we do need a more reasonable Republican party and we also need your help to make it so. We really have to tell the pendejos to crawl under the rocks they came from.

I have a hard time believing that even the most vagina-driven male of voting age will vote for Trump or forgive him anything on the grounds that he has a hot wife. It’s never done anything for Kucinich.

Unfortunately my vote is basically meaningless. The way this state has gone over the last few decades it would be a miracle for the state to go republican. I don’t like the fact that my state is taken for granted at the polls but at least it cuts down on the commercials.

Despite that there would be a very good chance for me to vote republican in any given election I would never vote for Trump. Like 'em or hate 'em other candidates at least attempt to have policies. I don’t know if we have ever had a candidate who’s strategy consisted of off the cuff I’ll make it up as I go along.
