Here’s the thing that annoys me the most about this whole “Trump is gonna save us from the illegals!” ploy. It’s really just a cynical vote attracting wedge issue play on his part. He doesn’t give a fig about illegal immigration. As a billionaire businessman builder he has benefited from undocumented construction workers throughout his whole career. As a global businessman he doesn’t care who/what/where the labor comes from or goes to, he’s smart enough to measure his success on return on investment. If that means we can get a cheaper subcontractor to do the plumbing who hires “illegals” HE DOESN’T CARE!
As for the voters, he’s just playing you. See how he’s got all these folks all wee-wee’d up about “illegals”. He plays his flute and, like the Pied Piper, the worrier class follows right behind him! Geez.
The man has no issue paying for crowds, so I don’t see why he’d have a problem paying for votes.

First, I have never heard him have an actual conversation in which he listened or heard the other person. I have seen speeches, interviews, and yes, his reality show, and every time he hears opposition he shuts it down. A politician needs to be a diplomat, a negotiator, and a team player. Not this asshole.
Second, even if I agreed with his horseshit policy on immigration, I would never vote for anyone over one issue. There is too much else I don’t trust him or any republicans on.
And to the poster who said border towns are all poor and full of criminals, so is my small midwest city. Here, it’s due to wage inequality, corporate tax incentives, and a lack of focus on reducing crime and poverty. I don’t hear Trump bitching about that, because that doesn’t piss off or threaten his party.
A week or two ago I did one of those online candidate picker things, where you say what your views are, and the weight you give particular issues, and it tells you which candidates share your views the most.
The top picks weren’t any surprise to me, number one was Bernie Sanders and below that was Hilary Clinton. Then there a big gulf, but well above all the other GOP candidates was Donald Trump. (I probably gave immigration a low weight, it’s simply not something I’m too concerned about.)
But to answer the question poised in the OP, being a strong-on-issues guy, I’d possibly vote for Trump at least above any of the other Republicans in the field. Which really isn’t saying much, granted. I cannot really see me voting for a Republican ever.
