Remember, he’s got that hot imaginary wife.
Frankly speaking, I could care less what his, yours, or anyone’s sex life is like. You don’t threaten me. I feel better by knowing even sven and her band of harpies and obsequious males threw a massive hissyfit in the form of this thread. In fact, Second Stone’s angry tantrums clearly show that he, she or it is threatened by the idea of applying one set of social/behavioral rules for both genders.
The only reason you trolls claim I am not married is because you are threatened by anyone who talks about true gender equality. That makes Second Stone, and indeed all of you, pretty damned trivial.
It’s obvious that few of you get out much. There are a lot of men’s rights advocates out there who are married. And men’s rights GROUPS who have women as members. If you ever encountered such groups your heads would explode. And that makes me happy, because eventually you will venture out into the sun and you will at some point find this out.
Yeah, there’s Phyllis Schlafly and people like Ann Coulter, although I use the term ‘people’ reluctantly there. What’s your point? I think any woman who’s been online has encountered MRAs. Like you. They all seem to think that women spend all our time filing our nails, plotting ways to steal sperm and impregnate ourselves so we can snork up those exorbitant $300 a month child support checks, and filing false rape accusations for shits and giggles.
YOu keep talking about how you view women equally.Yet you refuse to address the fact that women face concrete barriers to equality, not the least of which is the sustained assault on their reproductive rights, and have not yet attained parity. If you exert equal amounts of efforts on behalf of both men and women you are preserving the inequality because women still need to reach parity in various areas, and equal effort benefits only the status quo.
Actually, I was just quoting your response to a poster (me) who said something similar to what you did, because you’re so disjointed you can’t even remember your own posts.
That’s right, you just lambasted me for using your own words in an identical context. Winning!
I don’t claim to have it all together, but I sure as hell don’t blame it on social standards or women in general. I’m responsible for my own side of fulfilling relationships. There are a great number of injustices in the world, but I don’t see that a conspiracy of women or unconscious failure of women or an entitled feeling of women has anything to do with any of them. It is pretty apparent to me that women are generally speaking treated much worse than men are the whole world over. But that is just my opinion and that of virtually every tenured social scientist who has ever studied the issue.
Pikers!
LOL, so women who do join men’s rights groups or who sympathize with men are all Ann Coulter or Phyllis Schlafly. Gotcha.
Wow, where in the Sam Hill did I ever even imply all of this? You really think this is what I feel, or that I’ve ever posted sentiments REMOTELY similar to this? For one I would never imagine your class of woman would want to steal any sperm or impregnate yourself. Seriously though, you’re so off base you could have fired at me with the Death Star and I’d have never seen it, much less been hit.
My solution to this is to treat women equally. I cannot dictate to the rest of the world what to do, much as I would like to try. What in the world is your persistent problem with that?
Treating women fairly contributes to their oppression. Gotcha.
Excuse me, but whatever society has done to oppress you, I have never benefitted from any of it. I’ve never oppressed any woman. I can’t give back to you what was never given to me at your expense.
No you weren’t. You were babbling like a drunken hobo.
Is that so?

If you were, you wouldn’t have to make yourself feel better by believing that people like me don’t.

If you were [enjoying a sexually and emotionally fulfilling relationship], you wouldn’t have to make yourself feel better by believing that people like The Second Stone don’t.
In your face, rookie.

Your weakness is you mistake the roar of animals headed for extinction (the pro-offshoring trolls) as “facts, cites and logic”. Or maybe you’re just getting REALLY pissed that fewer and fewer Americans are buying that horseshit anymore.
In any case you’ll be singing a different tune when people like me are referring to ideas like offshoring as a bitter ugly memory.
Charlie?

I need to start reading those posts and stop reading the ones where you make a monomaniacal ass out of yourself.
If I blocked all the posts where you come across as a blithering idiot I’d never even know you existed.

Is that so?

All you showed was you can dish it out but you can’t take it.
You lose. Again. By your own hand, no less!
“You lose”? What the fuck are you, 12?
Only YOU would defend the likes of Schlafly and Coulter, but you were always a troll anyway.

Aww, look at it. It walks like a man and thinks it is witty.
Oh man, this is so much fun!
OK. Two things: in order of complexity.
1: People are complicated. Anything involving people is therefore complicated, and anything involving large numbers of people increases in complexity geometrically. We can use numbers and approximations to simplify things, but such abstractions necessarily lose data, and because people are complicated, losing data very often means that when you try to apply your abstraction to specific cases, it ends up being either diluted to the point of uselessness or wrong in many important particulars.
I, for example, don’t judge and treat women the same as men, because I don’t know women and men; I know people who are women and people who are men, and treat them in differing ways based on what I know about them. I can make approximations based on a large set of women or men and how they react to things, but said approximations are simply that, and need to go by the wayside when confronted with data indicating that what might be true in many cases isn’t true here. Or, I can work with the assumption that categories limit people a lot less than is usually assumed, and limit my unsupported assumptions accordingly, which seems like a better idea, especially given that so much of my social circle are outliers in one category or another.
2: Le Jacquelope is a douchebag.
Why is it that whenever I see a thread with Le Jac in it I get this image of a baboon jumping over a shark? While scratching his hairy ass? And attempting to lick his balls? And, oddly, the ticking of a clock as it seems to be counting down to…something…

I’d just like to thank everyone who made this thread possible.
“Feminism is the radical notion that women are people.
Humanism is the radical notion that people are people.”
And on this fucktard farm you call a forum the standard response to that is this:
I do love it when people can’t deal with complexity and resort to greeting card sentiments and the like.
Are you people really so stupid that you think that treating men and women equally amounts to not being able to deal with complexities?
Really?
Then you’ve gone far beyond vindicating me. As long as I am on the side of equality this thread has only served to make the SDMB look even more pathetic than it already does.
Thanks!

I love this line - it should be your sig.

HEY GUYS I’M A SHY PERSON WHOM EVERY WOMAN HATES BECAUSE THEY’RE ALL FILTHY BITCHES BUT l HAVE A WIFE AND WE HAVE LOTS OF SEXUAL INTERCOURSE THAT IS DEEP AND MEANINGFUL AND I CALL IT “MAKING LOVE” WHICH IS WHY WE HAVE SEVERAL CHILDREN BECAUSE THAT IS HOW MUCH LOVE WE MAKE

How did you get the board to let you post in all caps? I want to know!

Look for the lower-case l masquerading as an I.
The other method is to include a lower case letter colored white, to match the background: like so.
