Wrapping up January in the MMP

I saw Midget on FaceBook earlier.

We’re in Tokyo. We took the train from where we are staying to go to our friends’ home for lunch. We’re going to stay at yet another friend’s place so we have a couple of bags. The kids were fighting and when we jumped out of one train to transfer to another, I left my backpack on the rack above the seat.

We’re waiting to see if they can find it.

Congrats on the weight loss Moooooom!

metal mouse, the lack of knowledge of cream of bacon soup just shows how long it’s been since I’ve been down the soup aisle. Like swampy and Moooooom, I know how to make white sauce.

Juliet, my granny had her first child in 1926 and her last in 1953. Of course, there were 12 in between. She got her sixth grandchild a couple of weeks after my youngest uncle was born. Of the 14, we just buried the last of the older kids and the two youngest are the only ones left. My youngest uncle is actually younger than my ex.

I knocked off irk at one today, bought groceries, came home for a bit, then went to hear a friend play at the Green Dragon. I had a not bad Cuban sandwich (not one I would expect in Miami, but not bad) and a Black Abbey beer. Burrrrrrrp! Now just chillin’ until time for bed.

Worked. Drove to the end of the county to loan my laptop to a friend. Canes won the hockey game. And they did “Duck, Duck, Goose” as the post game celebration.

The new slogan for Depends.

nephew has bronchitis …so the usual meds next week he should be able to go back to school next week

dinner was roast of oink and veggies … its quiet here tonight

Checked with lost and found. The bag hasn’t been turned in.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 52 Amurrkin out and rainyish with a predicted high of 62 with light rain this mornin’ and cloudy this afternoon. This mornin’ I betake myself to the church house to do JW stuff and take care of candle duty. Beyond that who knows what the day holds. I think we shall swipe The General’s sup tonight.

TB hope your backpack is found. Also hope stuff in it is easy to replace should it not be found.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, bother of bother, I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire. Le Sigh.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

I’ve been up since 4 of the AM. Dammit. After wasting some time playing games on my tablet, I dragged myself out of bed and started my day. Critters have been tended to, cat box is cleaned, dishwasher is loaded, pellet stove has been re-pelleted, and I’m breakfasting. Apart from the usual laundry, today is critter-fountain-cleaning day. I’ll also break out the sewing machine and do some stuff I’ve been putting off. And when daughter and Roxy go out this afternoon, I’ll get out the carpet cleaner and do the traffic areas. Fun, huh?

It’s 19° out there right now, but the forecast shows 61° for Tuesday. Weird weather indeed…

Happy Saturday!

Morning all. 44F with a high of 65F expected. Indoor soccer day starting at 8:30am and going to 4:30pm, so that will get me out of the house for awhile.

All y’all enjoy saturday.

I’ve started the laundry. I stripped and re-made the bed. I pulled the hard drive from my old computer and put up a freebie ad for the rest - dunno if someone will want it for parts, but we’ll see. Otherwise, it’ll be recycled.

And it’s just 9AM!

Happy Saturday!

I slept in until 8:30 this morning.

It’s 9 degrees outside, it was supposed to get up into the 40s today. That has changed.

Don’t know what I’m doing today, but I have lots to do.

TB, I hope your backpack is found before the end of your vacation.

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, a load of towels in the wash, puppy crate cleaned and fixing to do KP. I need to go to Lowe’s today for some topsoil and grass seed. I put down some on the bare spots next to teh walk in November. It came up beautifully and put the rest of the 5X6’ to shame, so’s I’m gonna plant that as well. This is a good weekens for it and it will have the opportunity to get a good start before the summer heat.

Afternoon.

Irk was on as normal today; there’s still a little bit of snow around, but aside from the few cars that are still inexplicably left sitting in the road, stuff’s back fro what passes as normal.

I hope we don’t get any more in the next few weeks, I’ll be commuting over the moors, where if it gets bad it’s a real problem.

Hope those with more serious weather but more clue are coping better!

Third load in the washer. Critter fountain is clean. I’m going to knit to kill some time. Once daughter and Roxy leave, I’m going to clean the carpet. Good times!

There is strange bright glow in sky. Gog say it there before but me no remember. Lar say sign from gods. Me try ignore and do laundry.

Which means two things; the weather is better and I have definitely watched Caveman one too many times.

Also I need to adopt/rescue a bookcase this weekend maybe. It is going to be tossed and its smaller (50x34x13) and beautiful solid hardwood. Even if I don’t use it as a bookcase I can recycle the wood into several useful things. I may put that off until tomorrow. Its being scrapped by a law firm but I know a good mambo-woman who can drive the evil spirits away.

Pizza for lunch today.

We don’t order pizza very often so it tasted good.

It’s pouring off and on today…sun came out for 5 minutes and then it started pouring again it hasn’t rained this much in years…

The ‘rains’, such as they are around here, have started, but it’s nowhere as cold as was thought, though TWPTB are saying within the week we ‘might’ get some fluffy white stuff. And I’m not talking about people. We’ll see. Weather be weird in this part of the country lately.

As Wifey as I were walking down the alley behind her office Wed. we saw a nice glass front wooden display case sitting by the dumpsters with a big ‘FREE’ sign on it. We looked at it for a bit and finally said “Where would we put it?” and so left it there. It was gone yesterday.

Went to Artwalk last night. Didn’t sell much soap but it was fun anyway. We get to schmooze with a lot of our friends, and we had a new local distillery giving tiny samples of whiskeys and vodkas. I was there all night so I got in line more than once. I especially liked the Rye and the Malt. It had a nice caramely finish. Spendy though.

Heh. I just looked in the liquor cabiney to see what kind of whiskey is in there and there are bottles in there I’ve never seen before. Apparently Wifey has been buying things without telling me.

Well, it is the weekend.

I think we’re going out to dinner tonight. Don’t know where yet.

Happy weekend y’all

Lazy lazy day. I desperately need to go to the grocery store as there is nothing in the house I want. I made my jury duty phone call and the recording said I am on call but do not have to report on Moanday and need to call each day for two weeks. I am glad I don’t need to report on Moanday at least. I still have FOM stuff needs doing.

Lucky Louie went to the vet yesterday with his dad. He has a pretty bad ear infection but seems a little better today. This boy has a terrible time with his ears. He also got a toenail trim.

I didn’t sleep very well at all last night and have not napped today so far. I hope I can sleep tonight.

VP Pence is in town for the weekend and is staying on base not that I care to see him at all. He ate dinner at one of our bars last night.

Ok. I guess I shall make that trip to the store now.
