Wrapping up January in the MMP

Howdy Y’all! I am now in possession of a hyuuuuuuuuuuuge notebook full of Junior Warden Stuff. It contains all the wherefores, whereats, and whatevers of the church buildin’s and grounds. Stuff I need to go. There’s also a really good schedule of maintenance that should go a long way to makin’ this stuff easier. Now I am official.

Um, y’all do know it’s February?

Well we certainly can’t wrap up January until it’s over, can we then? :dubious:

Our new garage door opener is so quiet, you can barely hear it even in the garage! It has a motion sensor light, so as soon as we go out there, the light is on. And it will open via WiFi, so we don’t have to buy extra remotes. So yay!

All my chores are done, and the carpet is clean again - at least the main traffic areas got cleaned. Knittage shall continue.

It was, over 42 hours ago, try to keep up Flytrap

And groundhog season.

Of course in PA just about every day is groundhog season.

We loooove our groundhogs. Limitless love.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Flytrap is from a timezone all his own.

My hanger bay opener is seeing the invisible mole people. Many presses of the remote to get it to close. Must be extraneous vibrations–the door is two landing craft wide, and everything goes into somewhat of disco mode when in motion.

On other fronts, dialysis is progressing well, and the treatments have so far pulled 14lbs of water out of me. My GP is going to pee himself next time I step on the scale!

Mooooom, make sure you have a strong password on the opener–last thing you want is some script kiddie in China opening your garage door!

Worked, came home, napped. In honor of Groundhog Day, I had pork bratwursts, with saurkraut and rosemary mashed **N.O.T.**s. Going out in a bit to check out a new pub and a new band.

Chuck a pound of C4 into Phil’s hole. Can’t see his shadow if he goes into the light.

Alien, Gordie will happily keep The Invisible Mole People away from your garage.
And good for the dialysis working.

{{{Louie}}}

Yay alien! May you continue to improve.

I got the lawn seeded then took Nelson to eh dog park. He’s a sleepy pupper now.

kopeks post reminds me of an oft ran hagar the horrible strip where him and Eddie are in snow so deep you see the tops of the hats Eddie says hey spring is here I just seen the first robin hagar says great where is it? Inside by the fire thawing out ,

It’s a nice day in Japan. So strange to be back in a country where I can understand the language.

I get super stressed on trips anyway and losing the backpack didn’t help.

My wife loves getting together with her friends so that’s what what is scheduled. I get tired of the chitchat.

TB, hang in there; hope Japan Rail can locate your backpack.

Alien, good news on the dialysis and weight loss. I need to lose weight but if you don’t mind, I’ll pass on this.

Top of the line opener there, FCM.

Butters, good luck on missing out on jury duty. In all my years I’ve never been called, right now as a retired gentleman of leisure I would be ready to serve.

Bumba, best not to ask wifey where the booze came from…but I think you know that…

Nut, glad things are back to the normal level of madness.

Red, bet Louie isn’t the only one tired…

Shady, hope you were able to stay dry.

Whew! Anyone I missed, salutations/greetings/hugs as necessary.

Another eight hours with soccer, went pretty well and got things done. Treated myself to the local family restaurant’s sammiches and fries with sweet tea and water, so belly is well-fed. Hit 66F today, with pretty much the same forecast tomorrow.

I think I will celebrate Super Bown Sunday by going to the Krispy Kreme store, get a bunch of hot glazed donuts and conspicuously comsume.

Take care y;all.

All y’all take care

Swampy, be sure to read all that material very carefully…

Gone from 0oF to now 25oF in the course of 24 hours, supposed to be close to 50 by Tuesday, so with about 18" of snow on the ground, maybe some flooding? They’re saying not too much as it’s supposed to get cold again by Thursday…come on, spring…the one thing I miss about Maryland is the early springs…spring here is usually about a week and a half…

Hell, by 5am, we had been up for 5 hrs, seen the weather forecast, walked back into town, & had breakfast!

That second part does. Not. Compute.

You of all people want to damage the nectar of the Gods sitting on his roof??? :frowning:

Happy Sunday!

Been up since 3:30, damn bladder, and still up because I realized I screwed up the grocery order.
I’m debating cancelling the order and doing it over, at the risk of losing my time slot, as well as all the cussing that goes into creating the order.
Whoever designed the pos website needs to be flogged. The latest flaw is that when you search on an item it takes you to the bottom of the screen where all the links are posted and you have to scroll up to see the items.
I hope they call about something missing and I can ask them to add the few things I forgot.

Anyway, supposed to be warmer today. I hope the snow melts.
Of course it is more my son’s problem, he is the one who has to carry the groceries in. He never wants to shovel the back sidewalk so he can deal with the condition of it.

The other thing in the agenda is proofreading his business wiriting assignment. He was working on it last night, was giving me a headache talking about it and asking for feedback. What should have taken him 45 minutes took over two hours.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 54 Amurrkin out and cloudy (dark) with a predicted high of 66 and cloudy for the day. We’ll have temps warmin’ into the 70s durin’ the week. :dubious: Today we deheathenate (I have ush duty) followed by first Sunday brunch. 'Tis the annual chili cook off for Souper Bowl of Caring. Folks sign up to make chili and then there’s a vote for best chili. The winner gets the coveted Golden Ladle. I don’t participate in the chili cookoff but we will bring along some fixin’s in the form of shredded cheese and sour cream as well as a gallon each of sweet and unsweet tea. OYKW and I will also throw in ten bucks each as that’s how the money gets raised. No specific amount is asked, but everyone is asked to throw in a buck or two. Always a fun time.

Alien congrats on the weight loss.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

No backpack. Looks like it’s all gone.

I’m really tired. Really tired. My wife arranged lots of get togethers with the friends from when we lived here, but I just haven’t had any interest in it. Maybe it’s time for meds again.

Well, my day started with loads of fun… the pellet stove was off, but the hopper still had about 15# of pellets in it. My bad. The bag I dumped in yesterday had some pellets that had gotten wet and swelled up. I figured they’d still burn. Nope, they turn to dust and clog the feed augur. I had to get all of the pellets out of the hopper (not an easy chore, since they’re supposed to be burned, not removed.) Then I disassembled what I could and vacuumed out all the ash, dust, and crud to the best of my ability. Finally, I reassembled and dumped a small amount of fresh pellets (in case I had to remove them again) and restarted the stove.

EUREKA!! It works!! Whew!! It got down to 64°, which is pretty chilly inside. Fortunately, we got a portable radiator for the baby’s room, so she was warm enough. Anyway, all is good for now.

I just finished breakfasting and once I’m done reading the funnies, I’ll shower and dress. Roxy’s other grandmother wants her today, so I’ll be able to do the sewing I didn’t do yesterday.

So, finally, Happy Sunday!!

Up. caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. It’s afternoon hockey, then the Super Bowl.

Well if the brewery is that close by, we can just pour a bunch of ready mix into the burrow instead. That will cement Phil’s legacy for all time.

Sorry the vacations’s not the best, TB.:frowning:

My Christmas tree is down. Waaah! I will miss the lights.
