I’m watching preseason football(Go Ravens!). Is it October yet? Or at least next week?

Good evening. Water has been restored and electrical and plumbing matters have been taken care of (pending inspection). Went to a Board meeting for the soccer league and some training on being a Division Coordinator that lasted until almost 9PM. Gas tank filled and all is right with the world.

I know it’s not there, mainly because I don’t have any drawers in the bathroom. There are some cabinets under the sinks, but no drawers. (& the laundry basket isn’t in there, either. :p)

I fought the IRS and won!
Don’t recall mentioning it here before, but a couple of months ago, the IRS comes to me, looking for about $5500 in taxes and penalties for DH’s Social Security and some of his debts that were improperly written off by creditors - they were lazy or stupid and issued the 1099-C to him rather than to his estate. I wrote a letter to the IRS explaining things and in today’s mail was a letter from them saying “Amount due: $0.00”
And then I fought the city and won!
Someone illegally dumped some trash on the street by my house. Someone “helpfully” moved it off the street and sidewalk and leaned it up on my neighbor’s fence. My neighbor thought it was my trash and moved it to my driveway. I cal the city and explain the situation. They say that if it’s on my property, it’s my problem, even if it started on the street, where it would be the city’s problem. Not satisfied with that, I send an email to the illegal dumping on the street cleanup department. They respond with how it’s pretty much my problem now and cc: the local code enforcement officer. Said officer stops by the house yesterday and explained that my property includes the sidewalk, and that if the trash were to somehow end up on the actual street pavement, then the city would have to take care of it. Wink-wink, nudge-nudge, say no more… I can’t explain how, but later that afternoon, the trash was touching the pavement. Today, the city picked it up. 
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out and cloudy (and a little rainy dangit!) with a predicted high of 84 and a forty percent chance of rain/tstorms/apocalypse. So much for mowage this mornin’ I reckon. Maybe this afternoon/evenin’ provided no more rain. Sigh

Good morning, I guess. **FCD **had a very active dream or two - I was awakened around midnight and again around 4 by either fights with ninjas or participation in a marathon. I think the only thing that saved me from bodily harm was the full-length pillow between us - he needs the pillow because of his back and apparently I need it for protection! 
He doesn’t have these active dreams very often, but when he does, they’re doozies!
Needless to say, I’s tahred! But it’s Firday, so yay for that!

Stoopit weather - turns out today would have been a good day to go to the balloon event - the rain is supposed to hit tomorrow. But it’s too late now and I’m too busy anyway. Dammit. If the rain forecast slips again, we won’t make it at all. We shall see. Glad I haven’t bought the tickets yet.
Meanwhile, lunch has been ingested. Four more hours and I can leave…
Generally adulting. With our new facility opened now and people jumping ship either to that or just jumping into the sea we’re ----- stranger than usual. I got extra time yesterday doing some stuff new folks haven’t been trained for and I’m doing a double tomorrow. Today I am blowing things off for the memorial service and stuff. Other than that just being generally grown up.
Does that new facility help train people in the finer art of packing liquids for shipping? A couple of weeks ago, I bought a two-pack of one-liter bottles of shampoo. Both bottles lost their lids in transit, making for a very mushy box by the time it got to me. If there was anything else in the box, it would all have been a complete loss. The crazy thing was that the return system wanted me to send it back to get credit even though I indicated that the contents and shipping box were both damaged.
The big yellow ball remained in the sky and thus I was able to complete mowage. YAY!

Weather is changable, cloudy one minute, N.O.S. the next.
Busy morning, irk was busy and I caught up with a friend who I haven’t talked to in a while.
Ripple is being a brat today, really no different than any other day. He has started digging in the yard. I think he is after something but I don’t know what. He digs and snuffs and then digs some more.
I thought y’all across the pond got free college.
Thank you for the congrats for my son. His grades are what got him the scholarship.
In all the years I have used the jungle I have had only three orders messed up. Once they sent the wrong thing (filter for an aquarium pump) and they let me keep it and sent me the correct item (napkin holder). Once the order got lost (desk), so I got the replacement item. The last thing was I ordered a 50 lawn bags and I got a bag of 10. They let me keep the 10, and gave me a full refund.

The dishwasher is humming right along and the first load of clothes are in the dryer. I don’t know if I can use two water using appliances at the same time. I guess I will find out. I don’t know what I am making for dinner. I know I am damn tired of cooking every night.
Taxes get done this weekend. I started on them a little, but tomorrow I have to buckle down and get them done.
What did you with the aquarium pump?
It was just the filter. I think I still have it.
