I have never come across any of his posts before so I have no idea what it was all about but I checked his last few posts and saw nothing unusual. I wonder if the decision to ban him was triggered by something he did earlier and not implemented right away and that’s why he continued to post.

Not wanting to dance on anyone’s virtual grave (I gave up dancing years ago), there’s a general lesson that can be gleaned from this.
When you’re discussing favourite music, football teams, or television shows with your close friends, it’s quite OK to question their sanity, laugh at their pea-brainedness or suggest that they are severely lacking in the genitalia department.
When you’re in the social part of a fine message board (let’s call it ‘Cafe Society’ or ‘MPSIMS’ on the SDMB), it’s not such a good idea. It makes you look like an asshole.

I’m actually a little surprised. The guy was a fucking asshole on the boards, but he never seemed to do anything that might have gotten someone else banned. I was kind of hoping he’s stick around so I could hate him some more.
