Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 68 Amurrkin out and cloudy (well, dark actually) with a predicted high of 81 and mostly N.O.S. this afternoon. Way too warm for this time of year ‘round these parts. Today is geezer discount day so I shall procure provisions from the Pubic Sto’ this mornin’. Then I shall head over to St. Paul’s church around eleven thirtyish for a service followed by N.O.L. where I shall help with the servin’ of N.O.L. This evenin’ we have soup 'n sammich over to the church house. I made two gallons of sweet tea to take over to the church house. So I get a double dose of deheathenization today.
Butters what doggio said, let the doc know what’s goin’ on. Maybe it was just the first day back to irk, but if you still feel the same today it could be worth gettin’ checked out.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I shall purtify since I am to go about the public.
I was running a wee bit late this morning and someone got my parking spot. No, they’re not assigned, but I always get the one by the door, till this electrical engineer geek showed up. Dammit! So I had to take the spot next to my spot.
I’ll be doing a short lunch today so I can leave early for my eye appointment. I hope I can find a pair of glasses that I like - the ones I got last year had the stupid small rectangular lenses, plus they just weren’t comfortable. Why is it so hard finding a pair of specs with large lenses? Seriously.
The sun is shining and it’s already 61 degrees outside.
It’s supposed to rain later but still be warm.
For the second morning in a row Sah-son woke up to find the cat has opened his bedroom door.
He is not happy because he doesn’t allow the dog or cat in his room.
He has pocket doors to his room and the cat has figured out how to open them.
There’s a key hole but the key is long gone I’m sure.
I suppose we can buy new handles for the pocket doors but I like the old look of the existing ones.
If he had never claimed that room as his bedroom, I’d never close the doors because he has a great big window that gets the morning sun.
You should talk to the doctor Butters.
Surgery is hard on a body though, and even when you look okay on the outside, the inside is still healing.
I’ve thought about doing that, simple fix.
This house was built in 1917? I think, and I hate to drill holes in the doors.
The sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the windows are open, it’ll be nice while it lasts.
Last night, before the cat was being naughty, was the first time we saw the dog and cat sleeping together.
I thought it was nice and cute.
Sah-son thinks it’s because they both want the same spot and neither is willing to move.
I have purchased provisions and stowed them in their proper places. I am still in grown up adult clothes because I have to leave in a little while to go down to St. Paul’s. It appears as if I shall be forced, forced I say, to be in grown up adult clothes all day long. Woe!
Since it’s a pocket door, could he insert a small piece of cardboard or folded paper between the door and the frame when he closes it? I would think it’d make it more difficult, if not impossible, for the cat to force it, but anyone with opposable thumbs should be able to slide the door with minimal effort. Plus, no holes! And after a few weeks, the cat should give up trying, theoretically…
Might work Spidey - except who is going to clean up all the marbles?
Your idea might work FCM, we’ll try that one tonight.
If the door won’t slide how is my son supposd to get in and out, Flytrap?
Although he could jam the double doors and then use the single pocket door that opens to the hallway.
That door is hard to move.
Good news Mooommm (sorta). Eyeglasses currently look 60’s era-ish. Big with large, dark frames. I had to search to find a pair that did not make me look like I was working at NASA on the moon landing. I didn’t mind the size, but I don’t like the huge frames.
Of course it’s nice and cute! Cats and dogs don’t snuggle unless they like each other.
No snow that stuck overnight. A new snow warning today. Sigh.
Worst headache ever this morning. I’m officially done with Winter. buh-bye. It can go.
We finally finished the (not enough expletives in the English languate) pos known as the FAFSA.
Every year I go through this, we get near the end, time to enter my tax data, and when we try to connect to the IRS site it tells me my username is invalid, or I am already logged in, or my password has expired, round and round and round we go.
It’s done.
The crepe myrtle is halfway done.
There are a few branches we can’t reach, and the porch needs to be swept.
Doctors & nurses are adults. Doctors & nurses wear scrubs. Some people wear scrubs to bed. Therefore, you can wear your jimmy-jams & look like a medical perfessional. However, I’d recommend clogs or sneakers instead of your fuzzy bunny slippers.
You don’t need many in the bucket because you want them to move around & make noise. A cap on the bucket, even tin foil, should prevent them from coming out. & if a couple of the marbles do get out & get lost you can live like that. Cite.
In line with Sari’s morning, I have just finished dealing with IRS on phone and on their website. We have ended up owing them money. I expect we’ll end up owing them more. Somehow or 'nother, we always do.
