Yoplait Commercial Question for the Ladies

There is a recent Yoplait yogurt commercial in which a woman is in a store, arguing with cake upon which is a cartoon bear. Question: is the hair style the woman is wearing a real style that real world women would strive for, or was it given to her for the commercial? It hangs in clumps and looks like it was treated with motor oil. I can’t even imagine an alternative universe in which that look would be attractive.

Wow I can’t believe this commercial is actually on the Internet.

Unfortunately the Internet’s copy is pretty fuzzy and I can’t quite make out the subtleties of her hairdo.

I don’t think it looks that bad, but maybe it’s a holdover from the 90’s when filthy looking hair gunked up with gel and mousse was mandatory for every man and woman between 12 and 50.

The hair on women in commercials stumps me, too - somebody somewhere thought that looked good in these cases, I guess - it isn’t anything I would ever allow to happen on my OWN head.

She looks better than 97% of the real women I see in actual grocery stores. It’s even more rare that I see real women talking to the baked goods, however.

Looks like typical, out of style mom hair to me.

What IS “in-style” hair, then? I’m stumped, really, I don’t know any more. Either you have nice, clean, beautifully styled hair and you get ripped for it, for being too old-fashioned and perfect - or - you have a dirty hot mess on your head and you get ripped for looking like you spent the night face down behind a dumpster. You can’t win.

Dude, everything is on the Internet.

And her hair looks fine to me — at least in that extreme lo-res version of the ad.

I was fascinated to discover that Yoplait has a Youtube channel, but it is full of videos that are NOT their commercials  I guess the ads belong to the ad agency?

Anyway, IMHO the actress is really plastered with mousse in an unfashionable way. This is especially apparent when she moves her head and the hair remains perfectly stationary like a helmet.

I think she’s meant to look a little unhinged. It doesn’t even look like her part is straight.

Well, you gotta be firm when talking to ursine-themed pastries, lest they lead you to dietary and indeed financial ruin. “Bear Stern” is the watchword.

I’ve seen that actress in other commercials, and she’s wearing normal hair - funny thing, when I saw this commercial on TV, her hair never jumped out at me as problematic.

Now, I HAVE had to have smack-down chats with treats of sugary goodness that want to leap into my cart and go home with me, but those are usually just in my head…I think…

Take it from me, she looks much, much better than the women I’ve seen talking to the baked goods.
