My Dad was the Chief of Police in Cassville, Wi in the early 70’s. Looks like things have really gone downhill since he left.

Well, it’s not often that minds meet, and SusieDerkins IS a rather lovely young lady. 
it was probably this very photo which triggered the whole mess. The boys have shown up on The Smoking Gun, and according to the summary, one of the brothers was attracted by her published obit photo.

Yeesh. As creepy as this is (I can’t imagine what her parents must be going through right now - my God, those poor people!), I guess I’m not terribly shocked that it would occur to a young man to try something like this. I have noticed that a fair number of teen/early 20 something guys are, well, horny idiots.
I’m willing to bet that if they had actually managed to get the casket open, the nasty surprise that she no longer looks like that nice photo probably would have been enough to convince them to leave her alone. According to Cecil’s article on the topic, the body may not have been too badly decomposed at that point, but it seems like a safe bet that fatal trauma from a motorcycle accident would not be very pretty to look at.
My goodness. I better tell my family that, no matter how old or young I am when I die, I DO NOT want my photo on my obit just in case some horny idiot out there takes a liking to it.

It’s about time someone pointed this out! How dare we pass judgement on the sexual orientation of these poor young men? They weren’t hurting anybody or anything. This is the United States of America, and it is out Constitutional right to fuck as many dead corpses as we wish. It’s about time we stop harassing consenting adults and non-protesting corpses when they’re doing their thing.
