If I say pizza, does that cover everything from plain cheese to last night’s buffalo chicken, double bacon, double cheese cholesterol fest?
Yes, sushi for me as well, except Uni, you can keep the smegging Uni, repulsive stuff, that
My first impulse is to say burgers, but I’ve got to go with either pizza or cheese in general. A few years ago my body lost the ability to process significant amounts of dairy without ahem gastrointestinal consequences. A cheeseburger is fine, but a few slices of pizza is not.
If I pick cheese as my free food, then will the cheese on pizza I eat be free, even if the crust and other toppings take their toll? If so, I pick cheese. If not, then I pick pizza.
Another question: can one pick “hot peppers” (i.e. the entire Capsicum genus) to be able to to enjoy their spiciness without getting one’s insides torn up in the process?
I don’t believe this to be necessarily true. Some things are sufficiently good that I don’t believe they would become unwelcome after any amount of exposure.
Steak and kidney pie, please. I could eat them one after another for the rest of eternity.
Yeah, I might rethink my answer.
Currently, I essentially can’t eat anything that isn’t bland. I want to be able to eat strongly flavored foods again, dammit.
Bacon cheese burgers. And nope, I would not get tired of them. Certain things I can eat 3 meals a day and not get bored with them. I loves me a greasy, cheesy, bacony burger…mmmm.
Yes, you will get full; that does not change. What is different is that your one food is not bad for your health in any way. In fact, it is healthy for you.
Yes, it does.
If you pick cheese, then yes, any cheese you eat is free, whether it is on a slice of pizza, in an omelet, or snuggled up warmly against some macaroni. If you choose pizza, then only the cheese on your pizza is free.
Hot peppers, were they your choice, will have no ill effect on your innards.
mmm
Lasagna, as long as it is made the same way that my favorite (now closed) restaurant used to make it. I also don’t think there’s a chance I’d get sick of it. The leftovers even tasted good cold.
Bread.
I’d be eating a lot of it anyway.
Can I say sugar? Because sugar is pretty bad, in basically everything, but is so, so tasty. How about flour?
Chocolate.
I’m not a huge fan of chocolate, I like it just fine, it’s a pleasant snack to have once a week or so, but as you’re talking about making it both free and healthy, may as well choose something with a thrill attached.
I definitely pick cheese then. Pizza will be somewhat less unhealthy, and I’m free to enjoy cheese in all its other forms without worry.
Hot peppers would be on the short list, as I have to stick to medium salsa to avoid digestive consequences (sorry, Leaffan), but I haven’t heard of any long-term health issues from eating too many hot peppers. Certainly not on the same level as eating too much cheese or meat or bread.
If ‘cheese’ isn’t too broad, then can I choose ‘custard’? Because, man, I can’t pass up pretty much any application of custard. Frozen custard, creme brulee, custard sauce, pastry cream, whatever. Custard. That’s what I pick. Plus, it can be savory (quiche).
I can think of several possibilities but I’ll go with ice cream. Can I get sundae toppings thrown in with that?
Coke. I would so love Coke to be good for me.
StG
Potatoes
Cheese. No question.
I thought about this for a second before deciding that sugar and flour are too broad a category. So sorry.
Custard is OK.
You can select ‘ice cream’, or you can select ‘ice cream sundaes’.
Ice cream: Only the ice cream - not the toppings - is magic.
Sundaes: Everything in your sundae is blessed, but only when you eat it as a sundae. If you select ‘sundaes’, then sneak off and have a bowl of Cherry Garcia every day, your ass is going to get large.
mmm
Oh, fine. I pick bread, then.
High Fructose Corn Syrup
OK serious answer, pizza. I can eat it every day, even the same kind most of the time. When I worked at Pizza Hut I basically lived on the stuff for three years. I eat it at least once a week, usually two, so yea I would pick that.
