I didn’t even realize it was a zombie thread when I posted, because it went along perfectly with the other thread (about F buddys), started a few says ago.
I’m confused. I’ve done the FWB thing many times, but this guy is different. He has a GF in another state (yeah, don’t judge me on that). He’s been with her for years. Doesn’t plan on leaving her. THAT part is all fine. We have been seeing each other for well over a year-as FWB’s. My issue is that his actions don’t say FWB. For example, he gives me gifts-flowers, food and small gestures. Ok, that’s friendly enough. When I sleep over, we hold hands-both hands and sleep intertwined-ok that’s a little intimate (I’m not a cuddler per se). Tonight, he playfully fed me, by hand. WTF? Sex is extremely passionate with a lot of touch and kissing. We never sit without touching each other, something I realized tonight. This has all the earmarks for relationship, but we never go anywhere or do anything together, except have a drink or two, and awesome conversations and stories (including good/positive stories of his GF) and sex-we are, after all, friends with benefits. I fell in love with him ages ago, but just realized it about 5 months ago (I’ve told him how I feel, and promised him nothing would change-this was supposed to be a short term arrangement and I will let him go when the time comes). We stopped hanging out for a month or so after that. I don’t expect this to go anywhere, and I’ve come to terms with that. I guess I’m just thinking that maybe he is either playing me or he’s becoming attached…or am I just overthinking??
